I am working with my t with the hope of intergrating so we all can enjoy life and feel safe. I have been wondering however about who I will talk to once we are all one. Now we talk to each other. Could someone who has integrated please tell me how it worked for you? Thanks

believe it or not you will still be doing your internal talking out problems, plans and anything else you talk to your alters about..

normal non DID people carry on internal dialogues, internal discussions too.

today I had a fantastic internal dialogue with myself about what I want to do vs things I need to do vs what I should be doing today. right now Im having an internal dialogue with myself about what I want to wear and where I would like to go as my wife and I have decided to go out tonight.

normal non DID people have all the same internal dialogues with their self that DID people have with their internal system of alters..

you will just get your answers a different way, instead of the alters answering , you will know the answers because everything they are will have merged together with you.

I dont need to say hey Sunny what do you want to wear if we go to the movies? now my internal dialogue is hey I wonder what I should/want to wear tonight, the red shirt looks great on me, maybe Ill go for the white off the shoulders its nice too...

its alot easier now that everyone has merged with me because theres no more fighting, no dont wear that it... wear this one no wear that, come on already just grab something....being integrated the information I need to make the decision is right there already.

you will also have conversations with those friends, and family that are in your life.

integration is a change but you wont lake for internal conversation.. some of the greatest debates I get into is with myself. lol

I have never integrated but I imagine that it will be pretty silent in there. But if non DIDers can do it. So can we!

I think the reason why non DIDers have not evolved into having DID is that they had someone to buffer the pain and the emotions. I guess perhaps chatting with us on the forum and making friends with common interest might help you achieve this. I'm going to join a womens health and wellbeing clinic which is a community run initiative in my area. The costs are low due to the volunteers. Perhaps there might be one in your community.
The problem is as children we were lead to believe my peoples attitudes and behaviours that how we felt did not matter, I guess I can't blame myself for going internal instead of being external...The things is the more I communicate with other people DID and Non DID I realise that we all have our baggage and being a human being is sharing those experiences and being compassionate.

It is funny because the way you discribe your inner dialogue is the same way a friend (non DID) described hers to me years ago. It is also the same reason I started questioning myself about the way my thoughts worked. It was the first time I became aware that my thought process was not like the people around me. How you scribe your thinking is unknown to me in a practical way, but it gives me a frame work to understand that I can integrate and not lose myself. That has been a concern of mine, losing myself. Thanks
Thanks for this!

i don't think you lose anything by integration - i think you each gain each other.
(i'm not sure if that says exactly what i mean, but i hope it makes sense to you)
good question, thanks for asking it.

you wont be losing your self or any of your internal system of alters, integration just makes it so that you are all together working as one whole person. Im glad I was able to alleviate that fear for you.

In my experience it's as it always was your just working together everyone following is going the same way and doing internal work as everyone else yet you will have gained everyone else's skills in living and working and dealing with life. I think it would be better then a non DID but I don't know I never was a non DID but I do know things will work better and you may feel others even though you are one.

Way to go for you,
Crew

I know what you mean though, I like it since I became somewhat co- conscious. It's like I have kids now and I always wanted kids. I
have a family in my head. I don't want to lose that.
