I am new to where I am living and I hve been trying to find a therapist. So far I have gone through 3 people. Each Ph'D has been more nutty then the other.

I am tired of hunting for a therapist that is less unbalanced then I am. Yet I need help. I been splitting a lot more then usual. I have all the classic symptoms of major depression and I feel I am getting worse.

Now it is summer time and well you all know...most therapist are on vacation or are not taking new patients until after Labor Day.
It never seems to matter that we who need help do not get a mental day off or a vaction, so what I suppose to do..wait until I am like a broken eggshell?

Welcome 2BKnown .....sorry that you are having such a hard time with finding a Therapist...especially when you feel yourself slipping into depression..you can try a couple of the web sites that offer resources with Therapists names and number who may be in your area, and that may specialize in Dissociative disorders, Sidran, and ISSD, may be able to help you locate one nearby, and the local state chapter of NAMI can sometimes help too..

Again, sorry and I hope you find someone soon..its tough being out on your own when you need to make some sense of whats going on inside....take care..

Welcome to PC! We're so glad you found us.

Perhaps you could call the mental health clinic or hospital and ask who is taking patients. They might know.

I wish you the very best,

January
