Have T tomorrow and have to tell him about a MAJOR safety issue that came into our house. I don't want to trigger anyone by saying what it is. But it's bad. I don't think my H meant harm by getting it or does he understand how big of a problem it is for me and my pieces. Just having a very hard time dealing of late and trying to keep safe. And now I have this here. Loosing my mind.

Don't want this thread to go unanswered--I'm not quite sure what I should say though. I was hoping one of the more experienced posters would have seen this.

I have a guess as to what your talking about. Please stay safe and if you are worried about being home alone with it then go someplace else. Take a book and go to the coffee shop or go browsing at the mall or go for a nature walk or just do something to make sure that you stay safe. Definitely talk to T about this.

I am only minorly triggered by this and am willing to talk more about it if you want to PM.

If a distraction would help right now, how is all the activity in your house going? I can't remember if you are building a new house or renovating.

I hope your T had some solutions for you to pick one from! Worse comes to worse, you have to tell spouse that you get half the decision and you can't go for his. TC! Some things you can deal with, others you cannot. Your T will help you determine which is which I hope.

Last night I told T about what was brought into the house. His mouth just dropped. We talked a little about it and then he said when H comes back to pick us up that he needed to talk to H. We all talked last night. H said that he was just thinking about protecting us if someone came in the house and he didn't realize the otherside to bringing it home. H and T talked about what to do to keep us safe. H was concerned about the other things that we could hurt ourselves with. So they talked about all the other stuff as well. H said last night that he was goes to get rid of the ***. Things are still hard. I woke up with just a horrible headache this morning. Can't get rid of it.

glad things got brought out and dealt with by your t immediately. big points in my bood. safety is a complicated subject with many angles to be acknowleged and enhanced or, conversely, mitigated. there are some things i won't have here because of my stuff too. we must think clearly while we can and act appropriately in anticipation of future events.

So glad you got a chance to talk it through.

Last night I had a similar thing hit. Someone who doesn't understand me, doesn't know me, has been suggesting over and over that I get something. I've been like in a haze during this because the focus was on the possible outer threat to my safety that was happening, that his suggestion would help.

But then last night someone who knows me heard what had been being discussed, and reminded me why it is not wise for me to do this, was like a really bright painful light lit up in my whole being, of awareness, of reality.

Oh Lisa, I'm so glad your t was able to help. I know this was a scary thing for you. So glad the problem was resolved. I'm so sorry for the headaches and yucky feelings. I hope things calm down for you soon.
