We have fire flies here that are beautiful during the summer. I love them! I googled glow worms and the pictures are beautiful!!

What an amazing place to sit and take in.

Thank you again for sharing it!!

Back to SS question. It's too deep for me to answer.

Currently on a study day, around 7:30am.
back at home on a work day, 7:45am.
On a no work no class day.... 11am or not at all.

How many hours sleep do you get in a 24 hour period?

you sometimes skip breakfast?

I've only done that when i've been ill.. never a regular thing
most important meal of the day

anyway.. most nights none, 1 hour of broken sleep if i'm lucky, if i'm sick, possibly 2 (broken)

staying with sleep:

if you don't sleep, or have less than you want, does it become an issue for you?, or can you function

(I ask because no sleep barely affects me at all)

Yes! I do believe in Santa. I believe that it is real in the kindness and caring for others at Christmas, and really all through the year. I also believe that Christmas miracles happen in magical ways.

Have you ever seen an angel?

most definitely. in my culture "Santa" is the spirit of giving, as long as there is a human being on this earth that is willing to be kind to others and give to others without the......expectation..... of getting something back or other self serving motives there will always be Santa Clause. Anyone can be santa clause.

Santa Clause is also the name for st. Nicholas (he was a very real human being who lived in turkey in the 200 AD era if I remember my history correctly) St Nicholas was the very first person documented (so far ) in history that gave gifts to people in his community and surrounding areas and was kind to others.

there are many great books on amazon that explains the very real documented history of Santa Clause, from the beginnings to present day. my children are totally enjoying the fact that their friends are starting to not believe in Santa but because they know the historical side of this they get to believe in Santa forever.

do I really believe in Santa oh yes and I will forever.

I saw myself as a little girl playing in a sand pile as an observer. It is quite disturbing to think about.

Do you watch tv. Specifically, the news? I cannot tolerate it.

I watch adult swim almost exclusively when I do watch tv - though I just went three years without it. What's the news? Okay, I do know what the news is but no, I don't watch it.

How did you pick your nickname for psychcentral?

I'm not sure what adult swim is. It's been about 3 years since I've watched tv also. I just can't process it. It's too much.

My name for here. It came from a really not good place. Well. A part of me split in a situation that I was in. I saw it happen and witnessed it. No details.

The part of me that split was/is very determined and strong. I've always wanted to be a runner and never thought I could. That part of me is very determined to press forward and not look back.

TrailRunner. questions: dissociative disorders version

I would be interested to hear about some else's name. That is my question.

adult swim is like an adult version of cartoon network.

so stuff like family guy, american dad, bob's burger's, those types of shows are shown.
as for my name, welll, i'm tired of life (shattered as they sometimes say in england), and I don't care about what's right or what's wrong, or what's unhealthy, what ever, who cares what I do because it's never the right thing to do anyway.

so shattered sanity

I was going to be known as emily67, but thought I might get recognized from another site (which believe me, wouldn't have been good)

do you like to sing?

I don't really believe in luck. I do seem to see 11:11 on the digital clocks, not sure what that's about.

How far do you drive to see your therapist/counselor?

Umm..... about 4 minutes from home, three minutes from work? I live n a small city... it only takes about ten minutes to drive from one side of the populated area to the other! It IS officially a city though!
In another city I lived it took me an hour to drive to Ts office from work. But then it was only 5 minutes from home.

How old were you when you first started therapy
and
how old were you when you first became aware of dissociative issues?

I've always had dissociative issues as far back as I can remember. Things started to get weird in my senior year of high school, 17, and became a real problem in my second semester of college just before I turned 19. That time in my life really screwed me.

Does anyone enjoy swimming in natural places like lakes and rivers and such?

YES! Very much so!! And going deep under the water and just hanging there and hearing the river stones gently grinding over each other with the flow of the water! And climbing up the banks and trees to jump down into the deepest part ....or swimming down the rapids on a tyre tube,,,, rivers are awesome!! When we was a kid I used to take off for the day pretending we was escaping the evil king and I would go up the river through the bush as far as I could and if I saw hunters I pretended they were evil huntsman out to get me and I had to evade them. It was the coolest!!

Rivers and ponds scare me because I can't see through the water. Here in the South those places are really cloudy and you can't see through the water. That kind of bothers me.

Going on Luce's post, what is your favorite story that you are brave in? Movie or book, either one.

I'm Lucy in Narnia.
