I like that question about the color of hot. When I think of hot (temp) I think yellow and dusty hues. Because when it gets hottest where I live the air gets saturated with this awful yellow dusty pollen. As far as hot (attractive slang) I think about complementary tones as in skin eyes hair and how their tones whatever the color compliment each other.
As far as present To and contacting. Has a work cell. Usually goes straight to vm. Sometimes response is quick other times nothing. Had a previous Thursday who texted on work cell. Always responded quickly, but would text during our sessions as well! That was not cool.

What's your favorite place like?

Yeah. New Year's is not a super happy night for us. Makes me feel isolated.

My favorite place is camping, sitting around a campfire, with sounds/smells of horses in background. Air is a little cool, so the fire feels really nice.

This is a real place and also one of the "safe places" I go to when needing to ground.

I have really enjoyed catching up on this thread. Y'all are amazing, brave and sweet. And I would never say that in real life!

What's the longest road trip you have ever taken?
Thanks for this!

Washington DC to Anchorage, Alaska in five days. I was between semesters at college, flew down to see my father in Massachusetts and bought a car while I was there. Drove to Louisiana to visit a internet friend and then on to D.C. to play in the U.S. Open Chess Championship. It was a two week tournament and it ended five days before classes started back at the University in Alaska. I was on time for my first class.

What is the longest commute you've ever had?

There was a story I heard that has stuck with me for some reason. I'd like to share it, if that's ok.

A preschool teacher was talking with the kids in her classroom about colors and what they represent. She asked the kids what color represented "hot" and most of the kids were in agreement that it was red. And the teacher agreed. One little boy stood up and said that the color of hot was blue. The teacher didn't agree and told the boy that hot was red.

He explained to her, that is you look into a fire there IS red, but if you look deep into the at its hottest point, it's blue. Blue is the color of hot.

We love to build fires and sit outside in the fall and winter. One night we had a beautiful fire and that story came back to me. I looked into the deepest/hottest part of the fire and it was indeed blue.

For some reason it gave me peace. Most people, I would think, might say that the color that represents peace might be blue. It is for me. Not trying to be all physco/whatever - but now when I get in a hard place trying to work through stuff, I think about that.

If the fire isn't hot enough, you don't see the blue part, the peace. That doesn't make the hard place easier for me, it just gives me hope for peace in the midst of it.

That may be too out there, but I wanted to share it. Hope it makes sense.

I've never really had to commute very far. I guess the longest was probably 20 miles.

What are 3 words to describe what you see for yourself in 2017?

Hope. Growth. Pain.

Ummm, don't know how to ask this question so prepare for rambling. I am starting a creative writing class in February. Pretty excited...little scared. You know, you are the only people in the world I would cop to being a little scared to...I'm glad I have you all. Anyway, the class is happening at a center that hold a wide variety of classes for the community, typically creative type stuff. My little asked me if, after my class, if she could take an art class. I am so frustrated by art - math and physics kind of guy here. Art confuses me...and confusion frustrates me. Unresolved frustration leads to anger. Long story short...I agreed with a caveat. I don't have to actually be there if I don't want to. I can go to our inside safe space and do something much more fun like hit my head against the wall or something while she attends. Oh, I'll hop out long enough for her to show me her creations and she's agreed not to take any reaction on my part personally.

So, have you ever done something like this? Let an alter (particularly a little) take a class?

I'm still in the process of sorting out things.

I do know that there is a part of me that is very artistically creative. That part of me came forward and created fairy garden arrangements. I totally loved it and lost myself in it. The gardens created themselves. Right now I can't find them. I feel a loss. I don't know words to explain that.

Maybe that is similar. ? Don't know.

I would love to take a class in connection with that. It seems that it's a good thing all around, except for the normal not wanting to be around a lot of people thing.

Do you have a gift or talent that only comes out when it wants to?

poetry/ creative writing.

most of the time I suck at it (and have no idea what I want to write about), but then something will come along- an event or an experience, or maybe even a new emotion, and it just flows freely (as if I was born to do it from the start)

did you stay up to see in the new year?

I slept on their couch and just got home.

At my Social Security Disability hearing the judge told me that I would be notified of his decision in six to eight weeks. Tomorrow is sixteen weeks and I've yet to hear back. I'm approaching four years of waiting and am getting rather tired of it. I'd wish for disability but would settle for closure on this never ending case.

If you could choose one of these two animals to be real and living in the world, which would it be: Unicorns or Pegasus?

One wish..assuming the no wishing for more wishes rule still stands...then that my dad would give me the deed to his house on the cove. *keep dreaming!*

If you could teleport yourself anywhere right now...where would you go?

Unicorns. They are the symbol of innocence and purity. I love the movie "Legend" where it is the common thread - the battle against good and evil. It's an awesome movie!!

I'm not too familiar with Pegasus. I don't know what they symbolize.

If you have seen the movie "Narnia" out of all them, who is your favorite character and why?

If you haven't seen the movie, what is your movie that you relate to in your healing process?

Oh sorry!! I didn't catch up on the last post. I usually get here on my phone but teletalk was messed up today.

If I could own any pet it would be a giraffe. I know, I don't have the space to have one. If there was a miniature giraffe, that would be what I would want. I love them so!!

My previous question, I will leave.

I have seen 2or 3 idk how many..but the most recent Movie versions of the chronicles of Narnia. Excuse the memory failures..I love a lot of the Narnia Characters.. The youngest is Lucy??..I think. I love her kindness and being a true believer. Edward?? Edmund?? The younger boy is very relatable as we were always "the black sheep screw up" in our family. Trying desperately to escape feelings of insecurities and always feeling like you don't quite fit or measure up right. We used to get angry and runaway from home a lot too.
And of course Asland! He is so majestic and wise and eternal! Even reading the books when we were little.... Ashland was just so large and wonderful always made us feel safe still does when we think about that all powerful fuzzy gentle lion. Happy memories

If you could live in any literary or movie or tv..made up, fictional realm, universe, or town /place..where would you want to live?.. and why?

Narnia! Of course, after the Ice Princess was overcome and all the captives in the castle were released! I so love Asland!! He is all that is good. Safety. Security.

Lucy is my hero. I have a little one who is like her. She so wants to be brave like her.

Edmund is dear to my heart. He is afraid to believe that there is really good, without being afraid of making sure he's good first. There is a part of me like that too.

It is the TV/book edition of all that is good overcoming evil and what is bad, to me.

I would like to pass the same question along.

If you could live in any literary or movie or tv..made up, fictional realm, universe, or town /place..where would you want to live?.. and why?

Yes. Tuesdays. Today! Usually mostly cuz it's normally the only day we leave the house to go to T. So try to do an errand or some shopping. Sometimes gone for long time but come home with nothing...other times come home with stuff I need..other times appears my selections were vetoed..and stuff I would never buy is purchased instead! Oh well just take it as it comes!

How often do you leave the house?

hardly ever.

sometimes not for months at a time

and when we do it's only for real emergencies, things that can't be solved with either a home visit or an order online.

do you like the lord of the rings trilogy?

It would be a beautiful forest with a white sandy beach on the outside of it. An amazing tree house would be where I would live. It would be all glass and would feel like I was sleeping outside. There would be a fireplace inside, just for looks, because the perfect temp, 68%.

There would be no danger of any kind. There would be an ecodome over it to protect it and me.

The ocean would be breezy, but the waves would not be so big and loud that it's disturbing. Peaceful.

I wouldn't really want to be there by myself, except maybe right now, for just a while. It would be amazing to have a place like this to feel completely safe and sort out my thoughts. Then. Maybe I might include some other people.

I would have my phone and computer, so you guys would be there with me. Right?

I pass the same question to the next person.

If you could create your own fantasy world, what would be in it?

If could create my own fantasy world it would be not just a world but an entire universe connected with portals like in Stargate and there would be Faster than Light travel and everyone would be animals that could change gender at will and be anthro. Worlds would be diverse and each one would have it own biome combinations like desert planets and worlds like earth and ones that is almost unlivable by our standards but maybe not to the creatures that live on them. XD it would be like Star Fox on steroids!

What is your favorite musical instrument?

I like Stargate too. Hum.

Is there a part of that movie that resonates with you and why?
