Plenty of times. Still do sometimes even though I know I'm just going back and forth with denial.

Do you have any pets? Do they react differently to various alters?

I like to create things but I am not good at it. My dog definitely responds to different alters. He is quite sensitive. And generally brilliant.

Are flowers blooming where you are?

I don't think anyone replied to this. Currently I would say that I lose less than an hour a day. I do pretty good with co-consciousness. A few years back, I was losing big chunks of time. Rarely would I miss days, but it was quite common for me to lose half a day. It varied so much. I have/had a lot of triggers. To stop losing time, I stopped going anywhere. That worked pretty well as far as not being triggered goes. But not so well as a life strategy.

seeing as we've just seen it:

has anyone seen the movie finding dori (or finding nemo), and what do you think of them?

I haven't seen Finding Dori but I did see Finding Nemo. It was a great movie but the family stuff made me too sad and I don't think I'd watch it again.... that's probably the reason I never bothered to see the new one.

Are there any items in your possession that you consider to be magical?

Literally magical? No. I don't believe in magic, unfortunately. But extremely special? Yeah. I have a stuffed bunny that's really important to a few of us and we almost always have it on hand.

What's your current relationship status?

Married. Kids grown.

I think I posted out of order above, so I will re-ask my question:

Not yet. There was slush/frost on the ground just a bit over a week ago, but everything should be showing up soon.

Are/were you able to work while dealing with your dissociative disorder?

Depends. I used to have to cancel a lot of teaching work to the point that I was always watching my email for a notice that I was fired, although I seem to be cancelling less and less frequently. But for some reason for performances or rehearsals, I find it in me to show up and play no matter what. I think because in school that was really ground into us, no matter what condition you're in, you have to practice x hours and show up to rehearsal, or you don't stand a chance. I've played in all sorts of awful conditions because it never seemed like an option not to.

What was the last thing you really got obsessed with or hooked on? (Music, food, a person or thought, an action, etc?)

Read PC. Read books, sometimes. And sometimes I like to play games like sudoku and Mah Johng.

What is your favorite food? Do you find that different alters have different tastes in food? (I know, that's two questions. Answer either or both)

I'm not picky and love to try new things but I really love Japanese and Italian cuisine the most. I also love salty things like olives and salami. I don't know what my alters like to eat.

Have you read any books on DID? If so, what's your favourite?

I don't think I have

it's been ages since i've read any type of book as well. about DID or otherwise. I just don't have the patience/ focus for it (or at least not as much as I used to)
how does it make you feel when a tv programme/ movie portrays a mental illness in an over exagerated way?

Depends on if there is someone who is caring and helps them. I like watching those, makes me feel like maybe someone will help me one day.

A pistachio gelato by a brand called Talenti. But it's very expensive so it's a special thing when I have it!

Imagine: you are eating half a sandwich. Do you bite first from the left corner, right corner, or middle? And do you bite with the teeth in the left half of your mouth, right half, or the center?

That is....possibly the strangest question I've ever seen here. I have a hard time imagining and visualizing things but given that sandwiches are generally soft foods I imagine I would use my center teeth and probably from the corner. I know there's no wrong answer to this but yet I feel like there is :P

What is your favourite dish ever? How about cuisine?

I do feel that way. Right now actually. I feel like I don't belong here.

I really don't have any tips for bringing myself back. I don't want to be back.

Does anyone have any advice for that?

I hate celebrating my birthday. I wish I didn't have a birthday. It's not a day I want to celebrate. It's in a few weeks and I'm already dreading it.

What is your favorite thing to cook?
