Hey--I know how it is sometimes and you know not when it may come or where it may come from. They do want and need to be heard but in the safety so they are not hurt again. They have been hurt enough. Each one will come when it is time and you are ready to be able to accept what it is they have to tell you.

Sometimes, it is patience that we need more than anything as they come each in their turn. They will let you know what it is they need.

Pegasus--you are so sweet and you are going to be just fine. You needed to be heard and that is great--she was heard. She may need more love, understanding, and fun. I am here if you need someone to talk to. Love you lots.

Now I know more than I did before! So silly all the words we come up with for risque meanings. But, I'd been wondering about the meaning of this for about 5 years since I first noticed the expression in a british based movie with Gwenyth Paltrow.

I was going to say, before you posted the definition, that anyone who needs to be a wanker at any time, should be! MY BAD.

The American meaning of jerk is not the same, not anymore.

I would like to make comment on the OP, if I may (((Pegasus))) and for anyone dealing with such actions by their others. Try very, very hard to not react or respond the same way that you may have experienced IRL -in real little's life. That may be instilled upon to, and might be automatic to react poorly.
What you need is understanding and love, and acceptance for your own opinions. As that develops for yourself, your others, then helping to find better words or ways for expression of those opinions can be had.
