It is not really from being upset or anything like that, I just have not been hungry. I like to skip lunch to keep calories down, and I am supposed to stay on a low calorie diet since I have a weak digestive system. I barely eat breakfast (Maybe one granola bar), I don't really eat lunch, and then I eat a normal Dinner. Not eating keeps my anxiety down on gaining any weight, and my stomach feels better when I don't. When I do eat a normal meal at night, I always feel kinda sick or bloated. I know that at least one full meal is important though, so I make sure I eat that. Then, there will come a week where I just eat so much (Every meal, desserts, anything I see I eat) and it is horrible. If I get that way I cannot resist. I usually gain anywhere from five to seven pounds that week. That is also when my digestive system is in agony, so I think not eating much is best for me. I am at a healthy weight. On weeks that I eat a lot, my weight goes up.

Then when i do feel really hungy i dont juat go crazy. I try and keep my diet quiet a flate line, so i dont yoyo. It is harder from time to time either way but i just eat the same thing everyday reakly for consistency.

I understand that!...I usually end up eating the same thing over and over too, lol. It does get boring sometimes, but it does seem to work, as far as keeping things steady.

Eyes.........I would think that smaller amounts eaten throughout the day would be better on your digestion.....I know for me, when I eat a full meal, it can really throw off my digestion & I better be close to a bathroom.....but when I just eat small snacks throughout the day....it doesn't bother my system so much & it's much easier on my digestion. Might be something to at least try & see if it helps. As a matter of fact, eating a little bit throughout the day, your body doesn't go into that starvation mode & retain the calories you eat.....it thinks it's ok to not store anything because it knows that the next feeding will be there even if just enough to make it satisfied.

When I was getting through the anorexia that hit me 7 years ago....it took me several years...of eating small amounts about 6 times a day. That could be just a few oatmeal cookies at a time....a 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich.....teeth are bad so I need soft foods so vegies aren't really an option for me.....a baked potato/sweet potato......things that are comfortable on the digestion....but also makes the stomach know that it's getting fed more than once a day also keeps the weight more stable also.

you mention anxiety about gaining weight. are you seeing anyone about this? anxiety and stress can also cause lack of appetite. are you on any medication? that could be a side effect as well.

I've been into really restricting lately and have pretty much lost my appetite. I'm very anxious about calories, even though i know that I need to eat a sensible amount. ( I don't. Some days I only have 300!). I'm trying to have little "meals" or snacks throughout the day...an apple, a cup of soy milk, some broth, a green salad..... it takes effort.
