Does anyone else on here, sleep eat?

I take Ambien CR to help me get a deep sleep.

The only problem is that I often get up after I have gone to bed, and "sleep eat".

I'm not really awake, but not really asleep. It has been documented as a side effect of Ambien.

yes... for me it also happens for me with ambien.. I also one time did a sleep drive.. however, that was way before they knew about the side effects.. I have tried the CR and that doesn't work either..

My pdoc now does a combo.. ambien, plus trazadone..that is a pretty standard practice.. the ambien puts you to sleep fast.. the trazadone keeps you there..

trazadone alone does not do it for me either.. it causes a bad sensation of falling.. dizzy, tummy upset feeling.. that is why the the combo..
don't know if other people can just take the trazadone..

Freewill,

Thankfully, I have not done any sleep driving.

Did your sleep eating go away with changing to the Ambien, Trazadone combo?

The sleep driving.. ohh I just cannot believe that happened.. ya know.. I was under a great deal of stress to at the time.. but if I had any idea that was a side effect - thankfully.. nothing happened to me or anyone... Yazaa..

yes the trazadone and the ambien mix does very well for me.. no sleep eating.. or walking.. and it is a very good restful sleep... it takes a little to find the right dose of trazadone... like I started out at 50... plus the ambien..

When I am under extreme stress though.. it has gone as high as 150 of trazadone... but then I tend to fight sleep...
I know when I am taking too much trazadone when I have a "hangover" effect... you know.. hard to wake up... and then I decrease it...
It is a med that you cannot.. just take at will though... at least that is what I am told by pdoc.. wean off.. though I have never had any problems with that..

But.. taking trazadone alone... YAZAA.. makes me pretty ickie feeling..

lol... ok.. my book is done..

hope this helps..

I do!!!! It's been about ten years now since I first noticed it. Definitely noticed "trigger foods" and don't even keep them around anymore . Still, I struggle.

I'm the same. Restricting usually leads to it or when I'm realllly stressed. Whether or not I've had any form of sleeping med too. It's horrible!
