Just wanted to create a place where everyone can check in with their healthy eating and exercise goals.
Today I ate healthy. I bought tons of fruit yesterday. Pears, apples, bananas and mangoes. For my exercise I walked to college today instead of taking the bus. I know that's not much but I'm building up slowly. I am going to the gym later this week with a friend. I resisted buying a bunch of junk food while here at school. When I get home tonight I'll make dinner. Probably ramen soup, not quite healthy but the goal is to eat in moderation and not binge when I'm not actually hungry. I also got some teabags to make iced tea and splenda to sweeten it. That's a good drink I like and it's ZERO calories ![]() Feel free to check in, would love to hear how everyone's doing! ![]()

Hi Bluebird, walking instead of taking the bus is a great move - small steps all add up.
I have a mojo thread on here already but would like to join in your thread too. Today I swam and went out on my bike for the very first time (omg I was nervous). Food wise I'm not sure I do as well as I should, especially not in winter months. I am making chicken soup tonight, that's healthy at least. |

Hi prefabsprout, welcome! Thanks for sharing
![]() I walked to school again today, gonna keep doing that as long as the weather isn't too bad. Have been limiting myself to 2 cups of coffee in the morning, I had to stop drinking it all day because the calories add up and it was keeping me awake at night. I would literally drink like 3-4 cups in the evening/night. I'm getting an iPod touch very soon, that will help motivate me to work out since it's more fun to listen to music while exercising.

That's great Bluebird!
I love this thread idea. I walked outside this morning. I can be impulsive with eating and last night I ate a bunch of ice cream. I'd like to become more mindful of this. |

On my days off I try to fit as much in as I can, if I can get two in great, if not then one is good. Some days it's none so those days make up for it.

It's my 3rd day of not bingeing on food, I am taking the bus to school because it's not nice outside but I will make up for that at the gym Friday

I'm gonna be honest. I've been eating a lot of junk food lately. Like bingeing and mindlessly eating.

My week started off great then at work I re-injured my back so no activities since Wednesday.
I'm feeling frustrated, but just glad I can move properly and get back to work, scary when I couldn't move. Know what you mean about mindlessly eating Starrysky - I try to swap for healthier options but I'm a snacker too. |

Hey Prefab, what happened to your back? I'm sorry you injured it! Yes, that sounds very scary to not be able to move it. glad you can do some stuff though.

I walked three very brisk miles today via a heart healthy exercise video on youtube.
![]() Also I found this article on procrastination and depression and it really helped motivate me! |

Thanks great article - sometimes we've just got to keep on keeping on, that's half the battle.
For me building a routine helps, so it's Monday I go swimming etc. My back is healing slowly but not ready to restart exercise regime yet - I hurt it lifting a very heavy box at work, so I'm having to be cautious there. |

A couple of weeks out with back pain and virus. My mood was noticeably worse without exercise, as well as feeling grotty, but for me there is a huge link between mental wellness and physical exercise.
Yesterday took a short run, today a swim and a cycle both low intensity - feel so much better for it. |

Back to eating healthy. doing alright with. Craving Chinese food though, maybe I'll just get a little bit during the week, not enough to binge on

Some Chinese food is very healthy, stir frys (with spray oil), lots of veggies, rice noodles, rice. Chicken or lean meat/fish.

My lower back finally stopped aching recently. You can do yoga and swimming and walking with back pain. It's good for your back to stay active. Unless it's a fracture. |

Thanks, yes I am fairly active but had a couple of injuries that stopped me in my tracks recently. I had my first physio appointment the other day and the relief was almost immediate.
![]() Exercise doesn't stress me it's the opposite, it's my coping mechanism. This morning I'm going to swim before work. Diet wise doing less well as my husband keeps buying me sweets! How is everyone else doing? |

Doing ok. It snowed here so my exercise was shoveling. I walked the track at the gym Monday. I think the roads might be better to go to the gym tomorrow.
Exercise really does improve my mood so much. |

My plan: to cut down on pure white sugar, meaning stop eating ice cream. To keep meals ready and cooked for the week. Make snack ideas. Do barbells. Stand most of the day.

I did barbells for seventeen minutes 20 pounds.
