Checking in, ran 3x last week although my long run ended up shorter as was struggling, I’m finding the longer runs a challenge although I’ve hit 11km a couple of times. Swimming once a week still but not been consistent with weights or Pilates or bike. I got access to a health app via my GP and thought why not, it basically prompts me about two new habits daily. Mine are taking vitamin D and doing 12 crunches, it doesn’t seem much but I guess it’s how it works, smaller change is probably easier to stick with.

Oh and my eating has been much better with warm weather, lots of salads and Mediterranean dishes. Not craving sugar either which is excellent.

I still don't eat much of anything, but I don't eat fried foods besides some potato chips and the occasional slice or 2 of pizza. I'll eat Lunchables once in awhile. I'm into RX protein bars and Clif bars now. I still drink soda though. I'm eating kinda better just not enough.

Nobody likes being berated it might have been better if they’d supported you to lose weight healthily if that’s what you wish.

Oh my. My long run today was a bit of a struggle and not helped by having to rush to the toilet, runners trots not being much fun, then my leg seized up and I couldn’t run at all. My planned running Buddy for the half marathon in September might not be running at all after a pretty devastating family bereavement which has been so horrible as to put my whines and niggles in perspective. So not feeling 100% positive about training.

I’m going to try to get along to swim tomorrow as the pool will be off limits in the summer holidays.

If anyone else is still following this thread then hope you’re doing as well as possible too.

I was left stunned and by what was said and hurt by the treatment.

9 and a half miles slowly and steadily this morning, but felt hard, I’d wanted 10 really but my legs were so fatigued. Because of the bathroom urges I made it 3 shorter loops which was safe but felt repetitive lol. I have 6 weeks to go to the half marathon so hopefully I’ll get there.

I’ve had a craving for olives today which I think might be to do with sweating and salt lost.

I've been eating a lot of GoGo Squeezes. They are portable apple sauces that come in a pouch with a top you twist off. They have a variety of kinds. I've been eating berry yogurt ones. I just got a box of smoothie ones and some vegetable fruit ones. I like them because they are easy on my stomach and they don't have to go in the fridge so they last way longer than Gogurt.... I saw a conselor in group eating them one time.

I think I’ve made progress on the digestive issues when on long runs, I ate an incredibly bland diet for two days before - no fruit, white bread, minimal veg, night before fish and rice, big difference! Too early to say I’ve cracked this but got 10 miles in, last few miles were so hard though!

It seems I’m going to have my run buddy on the big day after all too which I’m relieved about, 5 weeks to go to half marathon day....

I fell off quite a bit and now I weigh 200. I personally don't think I look like I weigh that much. At least when I look at pre transition pictures of me at the same weight. But yeah the weight gain is noticeable. Its been tough with all these stomach issues and various stomach meds I've been on and the side effects. My mom says I haven't been eating a lot. Idk. I don't move around much though. No one is hard on me about it either. Not even my physical therapist. Idk why.

I just want to lose 30 pounds which is pretty doable if I put my mind to it and figure out excatly what the issue is.

I need to do something about my fitness. I lead a very sedentary life and have done so for the past 3 years.

today I met a work colleague and we had a short walk to an office where we were doing a presentation. It was only a 5 min. walk but I was short of breath and had trouble talking, which is ridiculous.

I'm going to start with a short walk this afternoon, and I'm going to try really hard to walk every day, even if it's just a short walk.

I've gained weight too in the past 6 months, although my gain seems to have plateaued. I'm not really worried about weight loss at this point, I'm more just really worried about building up my cardiovascular health.

I did my half marathon in September and it was challenging weather conditions, I still enjoyed it but I hated the training this year. I’m only just getting back into running now, no sports watch, no times, targets, just short routes at an easy pace. I ran in the snow this morning and it was the first time in a long while I actually felt the joy. Do what you love is my new motto.

Good luck everyone, whatever you do, enjoy moving if you can.

Recumbent. It's actually just a footie thingie, but i can work up a sweat on it. Right now i am working up to working up a sweat. I tend with any exercise to push too hard too fast and injure myself. I went for an hour today. I did notice an improvement in my sleep last night. So far no knee "willies".

Oh please be careful!

I love recumbent bikes. On upright bikes my sitz bones hurt.

I went to my 2nd Orangetheory class today. It was very different from the first, without cardio this time. We did strength circuits. My average HR was only 105, but the intlstructor said that for a strength workout it is normal.

I liked the workout. Now I am home, eating plain sheep milk yogurt with raspberries and hemp seed, getting protein.

Thanks for starting this thread and keeping it going! I will join.

Today is my recovery day. Tomorrow morning, if I make it in the morning (I have to get up early enough....), I will go to an Orangetheory fitness class. On Sunday I have a long class of relaxing yoga, almost like a retreat. So something to look forward to.

My PT really pushed me today. I ate carrots and celery and some other stuff. I was still heavy on the soda so my carbs are high. But with the intense PT session and the low cal diet, I did pretty good today.

The day off helped. I finally got a little sweaty today by the end of my session. I take a pee med every 3 days, so maybe i will bike on the 2 intervening days.

I did not realize how badly out of shape I've gotten. I had PT yesterday and it was just 40 minutes of pelvic excercices. Using the excercise ball and moving my upper body around. Lying on my stomach on the ball and lifting my arms. Using the arm bands a bit.

And today I can only get out of bed to use the bathroom. I am in so much pain.

This was the same guy who pulled off a 12 hour black friday shift with no issue back in 2016, slept for 10 hours, then did shopping all day that Saturday.

Unless its covid or some ****. I mean, my mom is pretty sick today. But most likely I am just really really messed up and I need to workout and move around more.

My third Orangetheory workout today.

133 average HR
156 peak HR
9 splat points

I could not do some of the resistance exercises but I did what I managed. It appears that my upper body strength far outpaces my core strength. So, something to work on.

Tomorrow I will have relaxing yoga and go for a walk: a no sweat day.
