sooo... my experience with hypnotherapy hasnt been the greatest lol
first place i go the ***** (who has a degree in psychology) has the nerves to say "im playing therapies game" and some other crap after she talks to me like 30 mins.
second place i go and shes actually nice. first session the ***** ends up saying "u dont want to change, i refuse to be ur therapist". so now i ask, wtf is this????? is bc we are ****ed up that WE NEED HELP! they actually act like I DONT WANT TO CHANGE????? dont i have the REQUISITES to be INSANE? this is hilarious.

I would hope you can step back and try to see why they say you aren't ready to change through therapy. Hypnotherapy is often used for a particular sticking point or area of difficulty...

Did you ask either of them why they felt the way they do about you playing games? IDK if either would see you again to discuss this... it could be they have a large caseload and only see those who fit a certain criteria... which you do not fit.

Do you have specifics on what your issues are, what you want to change, what you have done so far on your own to change? I'm not judging you, just trying to ask enough questions to where you might find an "ah ha!" for yourself.

let me explain the whole story. i have tried 12 psychologists/psychiatrists but i only stayed with 4. the main reason was money issues. 2 years ago i found a place where i didnt have to pay. the thing is she has done nothing for me. i actually think im worst.. sooo i decided to search for alternative treatments. among them was coaching, hypnosis and neurofeedback.
as i posted neurofeedback wasnt possible caz is too expensive and my insurance refused my request to pay some.
i tried life coaching with the little money i had but i think it was missing the psychology part and to be honest they work with goals and i have no idea what i want of this world anymore.

so i kept searching for a place to help me with hypnosis. i found this place where they charge less for people that have financial issues. i went to a meeting and thats where the woman said i was playing therapies. she probb said that caz i mentioned i have loads of exp. i told my T and she was shocked with what this woman said to me. she even said "if it were easy for people to change they wouldnt need help!"

i moved on to the next. this ***** also makes exceptions for people with financial issues. i got excited she wanted to help me but right away she said " if i see ur not whiling to change im done with u". guess she only needed one session to tell me to **** off!!!
i know im quite resistant but **** i dont do it consciously!!!! IM ****ED UP thats why I NEED HELP! so what? ur too ****ed up for me to help so THERE IS NO POINT????? should i just off myself??

im REALLY tired of trying to get I NEED. is like what i need nobody can give. or maybe what i want, they cant give. who tha **** knows anymore..

It is sad that you are in such a terrible place right now.

Out of all the psychologists that you saw, was there a main theme of their observations of you? It does look, on the surface, as though you are "playing the therapist" with what you want to try and what kind of help you want. That's unfortunate and can occur when you've been to so many, as you have.

I agree that if people could change on their own, they would. Many people do...make their own changes...but many need assistance.

Can you call that one therapist and ask what she meant by your playing therapies? I have an idea of what they mean, but that might give you some insight as to how you are "coming across" to the therapists.

Finances are always part of the mix, and one can never tell when they are a deciding factor on the part of the therapist, except we all know they can't make a living working for free.

You don't have to tell me, or list anything here... but maybe if you make, or update if you have already, a list of what in your life you want to change? If it's certain feelings or issues or situations...write those down. That can give you a foundation for finding help. You might be scaring a not-so-well-trained or experienced therapist away. If you can single it down to one or two issues (they might be connected ) and ask for help with those, focus on those and follow how the T leads you...then once that relationship is built, the other stuff will arise, I'm sure.
