A huge pet peeve of mine, and a serious trigger, is when I'm ignored not by one person, but multiple people. I seriously have ptsd from that sort of behavior.

where to begin:
finger nails tapping on things (want to pull them out with a pliers)
people who talk way to much when it's clear i'm not in the mood to talk
people in general where i live
accommodaters.... just stop justifying people bad behavior
religion because of all the force fed bs i grew up with.
people who presume they know who i am and where i came from
Thanks for this!

I had occasion to be faced with a pet peeve yesterday. I was picking up a vehicle from the shop yesterday evening. There were people and groups ahead of me. The clerk bypassed all the people ahead of me to assist me first. Apparently the people of colour in line in front of me were invisible to her. I get really quite upset when such things happen. It is absolutely inexcusable behaviour. While I was in a rush, it was quite unfair to the others in line and I quite sternly told her all these people were there first.

People borrowing my books and not returning them. Happened to me more times than I can count. Infuriating

People give advice on the matter they have neither professional expertise nor personal experience in.

Here are several that just came up.

When I picked up my new trailer at the RV dealership I was handed a stack of business cards and pamphlets. Wait....... am I to understand then they want me to do the salesmen's jobs for them? For free? Yeah, I was peeved.

And in the vein of trailers - this always seems to happen - I hate that other drivers fail to give leeway or show any sort of acknowledgement and courtesy. I signal well in advance of my lane change and they vroom up closing the space instead of allowing me adequate room to safely move into the lane. This is especially bad in merging traffic where I am rapidly approaching the end of my lane.
Thanks for this!

I may have mentioned I was attacked and bitten by a dog yesterday - at a dog class no less.

My peeve? That people make no effort to improve or solve a situation on their own instead expecting some one else to wave a magic wand and do it for them.

This class was for reactive dogs. That her dog viciously attacked me came as no surprise. The woman failed to listen to instruction and made no effort to control her dog. Clearly she was not doing her homework either. No wonder the epic fail. It was obvious she assumed merely attending the class would have fixed her dog - and I paid the price for it.

The people next door insist on letting their cats roam free. They climb up on my living room window and 'thumb their noses' at my dog through the window.

Yeah I agree. I can't stand being around those kinds of people. I once knew an acquaintance in college that, if she was doing poorly in a class, which was quite a few of them, she would blame the professor instead of realizing that her skipping class and not making an effort was the cause of her not doing so well. It drove me crazy. I wasn't close to her but it was a small college so we saw each other a lot. I was so happy to be done with her after I graduated. She blamed other people for various other problems as well. Those kinds of people have trouble with responsibility.

Women leaving the seat down (it's usually the other way around ).

When people say "Really?" in a certain snotty way. In modern jargon it means: "You've got to be kidding, you arsehole!"

I have been visiting buy and sell sites recently to replace a major item. It peeves me that people have no knowledge of what they are talking about resulting in their mechandise being grosly misidentified and poorly described. Describing a hardware store sit on top 5ft long boat is not the same as a flatwater touring 20ft kayak. Also a peeve is that people fail to include pictures of what they are selling.
Thanks for this!

I too get irritated when there are no pictures accompanying the merchandise but I dont have a problem when someone describes and names their products in ways that I feel are misidentified or poorly done. used to though to the point where I contacted them and explained what I felt was wrong with their doing this. it turned out to be a vocabulary thing where different locations call and describe things differently. kind of like my state says Soda for a carbonated beverage and a relative says "pop" instead. Soda where she is, is a baking product not a beverage. so for example if she placed an ad for selling or wanting to buy soda she would describe it as a white powdery substance in a bright colored box, vs if I was describing soda I would say a dark liquid encased in a glass collectible bottle or a dark liquid encased in a plastic bottle or a dark liquid in an aluminum can.

since then people describing their products differently then I think they should is not a pet peeve of mine but the lack of pictures is still one.
Thanks for this!

People that use their mental illness as an excuse for bad behavior.

There's a huge difference in an illness being the reason and it being the excuse. There are times my PTSD symptoms are in high gear and I say or do something I instantly regret. I apologize to my husband and explain to him why I reacted that way and make amends. He has done the same and has explained he was symptomatic and why.I don't say it's my PTSD all the time for every little thing,I only do when it really is.Neither does he.

That's way different than those that never make amends, never apologize, never explain and expect everyone to overlook everything they say and do.And if called out on their behavior they say something like "well you KNOW I have [insert illness here]" And they never work on changing their behavior, they never seek help, and they don't really care who they are upsetting or hurting by what they say or do.
Thanks for this!
