My daughter and husband, both of whom did a very good job taking care of me today. I'm having a diverticulitis flare up which is very painful, and I had to go to the urgent care facility. Daughter drove me. Hubby met me there after church. He could have gone home and waited for us, but he went the extra mile because he loves me and wanted to be with me. Family is being so supportive and caring. Thank God for them, and for medical science.

After a week of absence, a stray cat I care for named Jack came back today. He hurt his leg somehow - I suspect a dog got him - and it was so painful he couldn't put weight on it. I went to feed him one day last week and he was gone. I've experienced other strays that simply wander off never to be seen again, so I'm glad Jack has come back

I'm thankful for another day! I'm thankful for healthy food, clean air, safety, exercise, my loving partner, my dogs and cats, nature surrounding me, some wonderful music, my guitar...the beautiful sunset outside the window right now. My health, my body, my spirit. I'm thankful for all of you, too!
