I am convinced that there are very few people in the world who are as brave and strong as people in the depressed community. There is so much expected of us, even though we are so often unavailable even to ourselves, and struggling mightily under some oppressive weights.

I give you all so much credit. Because NO ONE can really understand, except someone who has been through it all. They really really can't, no matter how loving and wonderful they might be.

I just got home from a gathering with relatives to pay tribute to an uncle suffering from ALS or Lou Gerhig's Disease. There was lots of partying and dancing and performing, lots of hugs, kisses, and laughter. Then a quieter hour with my two sons and one of their girlfriends eating pizza, and good conversation. I have good family.

I took Mom out for a little drive today. It was nice and sunny out but the roads are horrible. We hit some bad bumps that made both of us wince. We bought a few groceries and picked up some burgers. She likes to get out of the house once in a while and today it was warm. I have some laundry to do tonight.

Chess is not just a game of intelligence and strategy. It also has a psychological element of "psyching" out your opponent and making him nervous so he begins to feel vunerable and starts making mistakes. This area, not the intelligence, is probably where you are lacking.

It's really interesting when someone makes a post about "bad behavior" and then quotes an article about "bad behavior" and extolling the need for "good behavior" that was written by/about someone who is guilty of "bad behavior"

Not being good at chess has nothing to do with intelligence. Chess bores me to tears. Each piece can only make certain moves, the board is a very limited square, you have to sit there for an eternity trying to figure out your moves 20 ahead of where you are.

Count me out on chess. I don't think it takes away any IQ points

There's a brown recluse spider nesting in the bathroom at my office....

Still not smoking.. 19 days... few days a close call.. would have run down main street naked for a cigarette.. stuck my nose out the door and was way too cold to be running naked... so i sipped hot choc, coffee, n tea...

Getting sick....yay me! Feel pretty lonely and want to go back "home".
