8. I spent my first 22 years never wearing makeup, now I hate going out without it if someone I know will see me

9. I like to draw, but I can't paint

10. If I could only eat one food, it would probably be peas. But only they are ones straight out of the pod

11. I drink more water if I put a little bit of lemon in it

12. I wish I could sing

13. I like perfume that smells specific, like rose, spikenard or jasmine. My favourite perfume is MOR Marshmallow

14. When I was little I used to throw dead birds into the air to try and make them fly away

15. I would like to have some plastic surgery, if I had money and wasn't a wuss

30? Dang... OK, here goes!

1. I love Pringles, especially salt a vinegar, but for some reason, if I eat enough of them, it does something weird to my mouth; it almost makes the skin more rough.

2. I'm a trekkie. I've loved Star Trek since I was a kid. My dad 'n' I used to always sit and watch Star Trek together. I'm currently Star Trek - Voyager; it's not my favorite but it's certainly one of them. I love the movies, too. The only Star Trek I cannot stand, is the really old one; the original.

3. I keep a £10 Scottish note in my wallet and I shan't spend it until I'm next in Scotland and able to replace it; it's a reminder of who I am, as if I really need to be reminded. xD

4. I've always wanted to learn a martial art. Social anxiety and stuff keeps from aiming for that. Also, I guess lack of faith/confidence in myself. I wish I had a holodeck like in Star Trek, so I could programme a personal trainer to teach me something... kickboxing would be awesome. I wonder how much personal trainers cost, these days.

5. I love black and red, especially on a woman; yum!

6. I would love to be abducted by aliens and safely taken to other worlds, shown new and wonderful things of which man could only ever dream. I sometimes look up at the night sky and wish someone--something--could take me away; a better place. Is that wrong?

7. I have grown up rarely feeling as though I belong anywhere. I think the only place I felt a strong sense of belonging was perhaps when I visited my home town in Scotland for a couple of weeks.

8. The first thing I started learning on the guitar, some 11 years ago, was the classic riff typically found in Status Quo songs.

9. Being a Community Liaison here on PC makes me feel like I contribute to something; I like I matter; as though I make a difference, however small and insignificant that may be.

10. I have an appointment with my support worker soon, actually, in just under 2 hours.

11. I once flushed a bunch of eggs down the toilet, when I was a toddler.

12. I'm going slightly crazy being single, but at the same time, I'm too afraid to do anything about it. Getting close to someone like that again scares me; at the same time, I miss it; I miss feeling the sense of "belonging", as in, with someone.

13. I drink around 2 litres of water a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I also don't use glasses because I feel they are never clean enough; it's one of the ways the "germaphobia" side of my OCD takes hold. I always use bottles, and I always have to give them a rinse before refilling.

14. Ever since I was a kid, I've always thought that the last bit of liquid left in a container is partly spit; this is why I don't ever drink the rest, and find it gross when people do.

15. The game Silent Hill, for the PlayStation (original) was so scary for me, as a child, that it gave me nightmares. I ended up playing it again, later on in life, and fell in love with it.

16. The movie Mirrors has a part in it that repulsed and freaked me out so much that I couldn't look at it; it haunted me for ages, until I finally decided what I had to do. I put the movie on and forced myself to stare at the screen, watching every.. single.. detail of the gruesome scene; it worked; it was horrible, but it somehow helped.

17. I drink black tea, to save buying milk; I hated it, initially, but I think it's growing on me; an acquired taste, perhaps.

18. I used to write poetry; a lot of it was very wordy, to a fault; I look back now and wonder what the hell I was raving about. Still, my later poems weren't too bad.

19. My dad 'n' I once sat in the car together, outside out old home, and refused to go inside until we had remembered the name, "Nicholas Cage", whom we love, because he's an awesome actor (in our opinion ) with some amazing movies. It took us something like 20 minutes to remember.

20. Part of me actually enjoys cleaning and tidying, nowadays. I get a little excited doing using the washing machine; perhaps because it makes me feel more independent.

21. When I go for a piss, I avoid peeing on the water because ... I actually don't know why! I don't like people hearing what's going on in the toilet; strange, right? It's a bit like the blonde woman from Scrubs. xD

22. I used to have a really bad phobia of ants; it took years to get over it. I also developed paranoia and likely even hallucinations of wasps/bees, during a very bad period of sleep deprivation. I developed another paranoia that took many years to get over, and to this day, at 28 years old, it's still there at the back of my mind, occasionally making me feel uncomfortable. Sleep deprivation; I'd never have thought it could do damage like that.; perhaps the OCD exasperated and perpetuated it.

23. I have problems with cars; I get "car sickness". The smell of cars makes me feel nauseous, as well. Warm leather... ergh. I think it has something to do with my traveling in a car a lot when I was a baby. (traveling from Scotland to England for 14 hours)

24. I once went to Spain and got really ill from the heat and likely dehydration; my mother, from what I remember, did nothing except get annoyed at my complaining. The nausea and headache were so bad that I really struggled to sleep; I probably had that problem for most of the time I was there. Not very clever of her, eh? Spain is a hot country, especially compared to England, and she had me traipsing around under the sun for what seemed like hours on end.

25. I love sitting in my garden and playing the guitar; I like the idea that other people can hear and are enjoying the music. I've actually had positive comments from neighbours before, about my playing. xD

26. My computer has 10-14 USB ports, and most are in use. I have an external HDD, my webcam, my wireless, my mixer, my USB keyboard, my USB mouse, and if I had it with me, my wired 360 controller. I also occasionally use a port for tethering my phone to the PC, and for small USB drives, such as "pendrives".

27. I think I'm planning to be an IT Technician. I'm currently working on getting a decent English GCSE, then perhaps will move on to a level 2, and will likely grab a course on computer maintenance and repair through which I should breeze.

28. I started off learning Japanese; actually, I was doing Japanese when I first came to PC, but eventually stopped and later became interested in German; that interested developed into a hobby, and now somewhat of a passion, ... or obsession, depending on how you look at it.

29. I was about 22 before I kissed a woman, properly, on the lips. OCD and anxiety have made intimacy incredibly difficult, but the older I get, the more I can cope with it, provided the woman is patient and understanding. There was a point in my younger years, when I would hate to be even hugged; I guess it's no wonder my mother suspected I had autism.

30. I have a tendency of feeling guilty for no real reason.

I always sit right up towards the edge of the seat when I'm peeing withing earshot so I do it silently.

There is someone who plays drums or has a band and on rare occasions when I walk down the street I can hear them playing. It makes me happy.

  18. I love to paint wooden objects w/ acrylic.

30.... wow... well, I'm a little bored so will give this a go

1. Not smoked (occasional cigar) in 9 years but been chewing nicotine gum since I quit
2. I sang on TV in front of Princess Diana when I was in a cathedral choir and shook her hand after
3. I am and was then agnostic... my mum (atheist) insisted I got some knowledge of religion to make up my own mind.
4. Related to #3 I would also ring the cathedral's bells and they scared the hell out of me... was about 5 stone at the time and some of the bells went up to a ton in weight.
5. I lived in China for 4 years teaching English as a foreign language.
6. My favourite Sci-fi series is Firefly and even after all these years I still sigh over it being cancelled
7. My eyes are star burst with hazel directly around the iris and blue after that.
8. I am red/green colour blind
9. As a kid (5+) I would go on solo explorations.... and my parents would get calls when some responsible adult found me; baring in mind my dad was in the forces, the language barrier could prove an issue lol.
10. I accidently broke my cats tail when I was a toddler after my dad asked me to shut the door....
11. I think I once saw a ghost of a cat when I was 11 on the stairs of a house we lived in that dated back to the 17th century
12. In relation to Zwangsstörung answer on peeing, I'm the opposite... had a stricture of the urethra several years back (meaning my pee was a thin stream to a trickle) so now it's fixed... I love the deep thrum off it hitting the water 30 Random Facts About Yourself
13. I hate this number... one of the few superstitions I have (other is walking under street signs and ladders)
14. I am fascinated by stars... kinda sucks living in a city as the light pollution prevents me from seeing any but the brightest.
15. My mum taught me to touch type by getting a cardboard box, cutting out holes and putting it over my hands... seemed very old school but did the job.
16. Have a bachelors degree despite being told by school teachers that education was not my strength.
17. Have always preferred self taught methods to regimental ones.
18. I get disappointed when certain things I'm passionate go over the head of the people I'm talking too as they (my favourite things) are a bit obscure in their nerdiness.
19. I love the fact that Stephen King was heavily influenced by H.P Lovecraft
20. My favourite movie of all time has to be Alien... with the reason being that it was so finely crafted and timeless. To watch it, it's hard to believe that it was made in 1979 (if you ignore a couple of special effects issues... i.e. an explosion near the end).
21. I used to have to go school by getting on a hovercraft.
22. Not really phobic but have an aversion to needles... but that's because a student nurse once bent two needles in both my arms trying to draw blood and I passed out.
23. My mum taught me a mind over matter technique as a child to reduce the pain of migraines... now I get all the warning triggers and tension... but none of the pain.
24. After a big operation when I was 9, I stupidly picked at the stitches while in the bath... shouted (calmly) to my mum that I thought I had a problem... she screamed and then passed out when she saw the blood 30 Random Facts About Yourself
25. I had a tendency towards doing stupid things when I was younger... though to me it was more curiosity of 'what happens if I do this?'... thankfully I was not a Darwin award.
26. Another example to this - sticking my head out of a train window after my mum told me not to (was out of her line of sight).... and simultaneously crapping myself and jumping back as a train came hurtling towards me from the other way
27. Somehow I have yet to break any bones (I don't consider ribs to count).
28. I have never had the wish to drive and as a result have kept up my love of walking and cycling.
29. To fall asleep I need to day dream.
30. I found this really hard towards the end.

49. I am more likely to cry while watching cartoons than sad movies, because I'm not expecting the cartoon to make me cry.
50. When helping people prepare meals, I always somehow get assigned grating cheese. I've never yet cut myself, and I enjoy it - why does everyone else hate grating cheese?

This made me laugh out loud! No offense...sorry.

Kewl thread. I've enjoyed reading about everyone else. I discovered I have some things in common with others. I too loved the comment about throwing dead birds in the air. I would've done it too if I thought of it. I would've tried to make them come back to life.

OK, here's my list
1. I'm a critter person. Have 5 cats, two horses and a dog.
2. I was born and raised in the city and hated it.
3. goes with #2 I now live w-a-y out in the boonies.
4. I'm an introvert, but have a "people job."
5. Favorite color is blue.
6. I remember past lives.
7. Went back to college and earned a Master's degree in my 40's.
8. People tend to think I'm 20 years younger than I really am.
9. I don;'t like to make waves, but will vehemently stand up for what I believe in.
10. My brother's been dead for over 40 years and I still miss him.
11. I'm tolerant up to a point, but there is a line and don't like it when people cross it.
12. People think I'm blonde because my hair naturally bleaches in the sun. I'm actually a red head.
13. I am not superstitious about this number.
14. I have a spot about three inches in diameter on the back of my left thigh with no pigment.
15. I was a professional horseperson for most of my adult life, but am absolutely horrible at all other sports!
16. My favorite car is a pick up truck!
17. There is a sticker on my pick-up that says "Silly boys, trucks are for girls!"
18. My first car had push buttons on the dash for the gears instead of a shift lever.
19. My sense of humor can be wicked and desert dry.
20. I love to read. If it has words in a row on it, I'll read it.
21. goes with #20 read cereal boxes at breakfast as a kid.
22. I cut my own hair and get compliments on it.
23. My toes are long and agile. I can pick things up with them.
24. Others mentioned broken bones... lemme see... lost count of broken nose at 9, all the ribs on my left side, left collarbone, big toe on each foot more times than I can remember, little bones in my foot twice
25. First time I broke my nose was when the TV fell over on me.
26. Favorite clothes are jeans and t-shirts.
27. I'm on the "see food" diet. I see food and I eat it.
28. I wear glasses.
29. Each of my ears has three piercings.
30. I love the outdoors.

Boy howdy! This was tough!

Wow, that must have been mind blowing! I remember reading an article in one of the UK tabloids about his relatives and their discovery that he was still alive (as in, to the point of attack).

Was going to add a couple more myself... but that stunned me and didn't want to draw away from your post

So I am told mental illness is not genetic or has anything. I can see exactly what happened to him. The pull to just "let go" and not deal with responsibilities, and life , go live homeless, is strong. I just don't wont to be a functioning person anymore. It is a daily struggle.

3: Most things in my room are brown or pink, or both.

4: I wish my skin were a different color.

I feel like I need to do more, this is even more fascinating that I was expecting. There's something quite... I'm not sure of the word... about reading completely random things about someone. Like they are learning about themself as they write it almost. Maybe that sounds weird.

Evening, you are right I said things my list that may have never come up in other PC discussions.

I don't know if the lists are important items or just the first ones that came to mind, or is there any difference?

I just came up with anything I could think of. Being 30 it made me have to really stop and think more obscurely, not just 'this is my favourite colour'. But I was thinking 50 initially, it seems lucky I didn't now! You're welcome everyone.
