I keep wanting to eat my Fraise Juicy Tube (lip gloss) because it just smells so damn good Wanting to Eat a Cosmetic Product ...

Am I the only weird person who gets compulsions like that? (It certainly isn't something one can ACTUALLY consume - hehe)

LOL! I had a cousin who ate my lipgloss THREE times when we were kids. It was from Avon and was in a tube that looked like an ice cream cone and apparently it tasted like ice cream. Each time my cousin ate it, her mother bought me a new one to replace it.

Some of my bath products smell so yummy, I've been tempted to taste them. I don't do it, though, but I sometimes get the urge. A few years ago, I was lying in the bathtub having a relaxing soak. I had this lovely striped lime & pear soap. It smelled so good. So, I was lying there, relaxing, apparently with my mouth open. I just had a small piece of the soap left and it smelled so fresh and yummy, I put it up to my nose to take a big, deep sniff and it slipped out of my hand and landed in my mouth. I nearly choked on it. LOL. I sat up quickly and coughed it out. It didn't taste anywhere near as good as it smelled. Blech. Wanting to Eat a Cosmetic Product ...

HAHAHAHA that's gold ...

I remember being so curious that I licked that chocolate flavoured soap once when I was younger. Now THAT is so deceptive - it really is disgusting ...

Sometimes I don't understand how the smell can be so much different to the taste ... haha. I FEEL RIPPED!

I was terribly afraid to swallow any toothpaste when I was a kid. I used to spit as quickly as I could and rinse my mouth very well. There was a little girl in my neighbourhood who had apparently gotten very sick from eating a whole tube of toothpaste and had to go to the hospital. My mum told me about it when I was 4, but I misunderstood. This is going to sound horrible, but I thought this little girl was very odd-looking, and I thought she looked that way because she had eaten a tube of toothpaste. So, I was afraid that if I swallowed toothpaste, I would end up looking like her, and I didn't want that to happen. Wanting to Eat a Cosmetic Product ...

P.S. I had a Strawberry Shortcake doll. She smelled yummy. I also had her friend, Apple Blossom (I think that was her name).

I just remembered the thing that I was SO tempted to eat when I was little. It was my Hello Kitty eraser. It was white with a picture of Hello Kitty on it and it was so smooth and smelled so good. It was very hard for me to not just take a bite. I really wanted to take a bite of it. Wanting to Eat a Cosmetic Product ...

I am always one for yummy shower gels and things ...

Although I tend to have one for daytime that is more neutral because otherwise it clogs up my perfume a bit. I don't like messing up the fragrance notes.

LOL. You're like me. I thought I was the only one who worried about scent notes clashing. LOL. I always make sure that my soap, shampoo, lotion and perfume won't clash with one another.

Lately, I've been wearing a perfume called Solstis and it matches perfectly with my pear linden lotion. So, I use an unscented shampoo, conditioner, Ivory soap, and unscented anti-perspirant, so there's nothing to interfere with the lovely scent of my perfume and lotion. They just blend so beautifully! Yes I tend to go fairly neutral with everything else. I have a lovely coconutty KMS shampoo though. I still have to use that sometimes ...

I wear l'eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake (my signature fragrance, I never like anything else as much so I've given up - lol).

I LOVE SMELLING NICE! Wanting to Eat a Cosmetic Product ...

I've used that KMS shampoo before! I love it and it goes well with my coconut shea butter cream. LOL. I'm so girly. Sometimes I use all my citrusy bath products and wear Lemon Sugar perfume. I also like Clean by d'Lish because I can wear that perfume with just about anything.

My sister wears l'eau d'Issey sometimes. It's lovely. I get headaches from most perfumes, so there are just a few that I can wear. There are lots that smell wonderful on other people but when I try to wear them, I find them cloying and my head hurts.

I've just been and got some fabulous new Lancome skincare - my consultant always gives me lots of trial and purse sizes of things (ummm, yes I do buy quite a lot - lol). I am trialling their eye cream at present, I've used Clinique's All About Eyes for a long time and I don't actually think it is that wonderful.

I must admit I got an anti-wrinkle moisturiser for the first time the other day - eeeek!

LOL. My mum gave me a whole line of wrinkle-prevention products for Christmas when I was 29. I felt like I was going to cry. She said she didn't give them to me because she thought I NEEDED them; she just found them on sale and thought I would like them. LOL. I started using them religiously every day. One day, I had a very sore, dry nose from a bad cold and I meant to use the everyday lotion on that area. I accidentally used the alpha-hydroxy acid lotion on it instead. It was SO painful!

I always keep track of when the Lancome, Estee Lauder, and Clinique free-sample-pack-with-purchase promos are going on. Lancome's Biofacil eye makeup remover is my favourite. They always include it in the sample pack and one little bottle lasts me all year.

I have tried a lot of anti-wrinkle eye creams (and I don't have wrinkles yet; don't know if that's just a coincidence). My favourite actually turns out to be very cheap. I got it at Christmas as a stocking stuffer a couple of years ago. It's Pond's Age-Defying Eye Cream. It's the only one that never irritates my eyes. When my eyes get sore from watering in the wind in winter, I use a locally-made chamomile eye gel that I get at the healthfood store. I love that stuff.

For everyday lotion, I like Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. A little goes a long way.

Haha funny, I am 29 and this is my first anti wrinkle expedition ...

Is that Lancome eye makeup remover the one in the blue bottle? I use that one. It's fantastic.

I find Lancome REALLY good in their promos and I buy enough to get quite a few freebies heh. I love the small sizes to take away on work trips etc. So convenient ...

Did you know that most big-name brands of toothpaste (I don't know about all, or smaller names, or all-natural brands like Tom's of Maine) actually have a warning on the back telling you if you swallow more than what's used for normal toothbrushing to call a poison control center? I'm not trying to frighten anyone...it's safe to brush your teeth...but I used to read the backs of products while in the bathroom when I was younger, and I learned to read them just to know what I was using.

I've read that warning before. I used Tom's of Maine (the cinnamon one) for about a year and I didn't know that it didn't have fluoride. I got three cavities (my first ones ever) that year. I don't think it's a coincidence. Wanting to Eat a Cosmetic Product ... I think Tom's makes a version with fluoride; I'm not sure. The one I was using turned out to not have any. I shouldn't have assumed that it did. I don't drink tap water, so I wasn't getting any fluoride from that source.

Yup. It's the eye makeup remover in the blue bottle. It's super gentle, never irritating, you only need a bit and it even removes waterproof mascara. I love it!
