What inanimate object do you wish you could eliminate from existence?
For me personally, it's got to be those annoying fidget spinners. So overused in the classroom with absolutely no educational purpose and such a damn distraction when I'm teaching ![]() ![]() |

While I would say a portion of space-time itself, in order to study the reaction of the surrounding space, space is not exactly a material object. So, I would first kill all roaches, rendering them as inanimate objects, and then proceed to eliminate them from existence.

From off my farm...all poke weeds, Johnson grass, trumoet vine, & poison ivy along with the locust trees & the junk trees that overgrow everything from out of my woods. I would also get rid on the 15 year cicadas. ....6 more years till they hit again..coyld luve without them forever.
Already got rid of my TV 10 yearsvago...best thing I ever did was not get a TV when I moved to my farm. I keep up with news through the internet just as well as I did with a TV.

Walls. I want to see what happens when society's self-imposed barriers disappear. I know this takes with it buildings and homes and the remaining miniscule privacies associated with it. If you know that everyone can always see you, how would you behave? What would people become? Would we evolve or devolve? What would happen to our spirituality? How would the "elite" suddenly behave, now that they exist in exactly the same world?
I don't think this is thinking outside the box. I believe it to be removing the box entirely. |

They say bugs like a few things: sweet, rotten, or poo. Which are you? -- he asked her knowingly

We have lots of bats here too....they fly around my woods at dusk & many people without caps on their chimney end up with a room full of them. They are so adorable. Felt so bad when one must not have had a radar that was working very well.... found it dead on the grill of my truck. I live in the middle of woods & corn fields with a creek a few hundred feet away. This is a feast area for nature including the coyotes.....I love coyotes but could sure do without their pack howl....eerie when in the field next to my house.

And slightly tasty, if you're certain kitties I miss. Two of them would eat just about any squashed bug, then deposit it somewhere else later. They didn't chew.

You mean like this kitty with the spider?
Ok thats another thing I can do without. I dont mind spiders but ones with 3 inch leg spans NOT in my house or basement. Any leg span greater than 1 inch is NOT welcome in my house & I have long distance spray I use & a long handled fly swatter. This summer while my coonie visitors were up on my deck goes out over my walk out basement, the coyoties were right down in my woods next to my deck. Too close for comfort. A few years ago, I was out walking my eskie dog JoGI in my woods in the snow. We got to the back next to the creek & he got his gur caught on the barbed wire. I thought he caught hisvskin with the yelping he made. Just at sunset, his yelping brought out the coyotes right across the creek. I managed to get his fur uncaught & we made a run throuhj thebwoods & up the hill to the house. I had no idea if they were chasing us or not. I was yelling at them. That is one time I wished I had my gun. Not to shoot them but just to discharge it into the ground so the noise would scare them off. My farm is a safe haven for all animals & reptiles including my treefrogs that have blessed me with hundreds of tadpoles to care for. Most bugs as long as they stay outside except ticks (kill on sight) & mosquitos is I can swat them. Even my misquito plant doesnt keep them away. I sit ut by my front door.

Spiders... I have several that sleep with me every night. I would feel upset about it if they were biting me, but they just don't. They get cold, I suppose, and come to me for warmth. I can turn on my phone screen or a flashlight and see the little buggers running away. These are jumpers too. I tried to catch the initial one, the first one, and she was about 1.75 inches across, easily. Big ol girl. The ones now I suppose to be her children. There's at least 5 of them I counted last night. I checked with my flashlight and its red filter. They can't see that color and it makes it harder for them to know what to run from. They nestle into the areas behind my knees and at least one of them really likes to tickle my feet. This has either a laugh response or an "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! what the f was that response" in the middle of the night. At least someone wants to lay down with me on this cold floor. ![]() |

Ah yes, the jumping spiders. At least they are big enoygh to see. I keep getting bit by those cellar spiders with the wispy legs & tiny body that run 100mph. I get the large wolf spiders in the house. They are usually 2"leg span & I usually find them on tbe bathroom wall at the worst possible time. The huge one in my basement was 3-31/2 " leg span right next to my dehumidifier in my basement I went down to dump. I had seen it on the wall about a month before & thoyght I had sprayed it enough to kill it but i hadnt & it was on the floor right whete I needed to be. It was so huge. I SCREAMED. theory if it scares me to death I can try to scare ut to death with my scream. If didnt die so I had to het the bug sprsy. Hobestly it is still laying on the floir whete I killed it as a warning to any othets who may think about making my basement home for the winter.
My house is so huge that spiders must lay eggs all over the pkace. Then I end up with really tiny baby spiders all over the place. If I leave a pair of shoes in my bathroom on the tile floir & move tjem the next dat, 3-4 tiny baby spiders that can hardly be seen run away across the floor...if I let them all live they would take over my house completely. Ok another pet peve are those huge red wasps that get inside my house & are always sitting right there on something Im grabbing for to use ir move. Just lucky I do pay attention because I hav bad reactions to stinging bugs. Speaking of stinging bugs hete in Ky, have you ever seen the girgous red velvet ant kniwn as the "cow killer"? A wingless wasp that has the worst sting possible. That is the female. The male has wings & doesnt sting at all. Lol the female makes up for her male counterpart. I have only seen the females here on my farm. Oh, I relate to the no furniture. But I got one of those deck recliner chairs to sleep when I first moved into my house. It was the only piece of furniture I had for 5 months.. Not safe if you tip yourself over backwards. After 8 months of that I got one of those inflatable air matresses from Walmart. That was nice. Even had a fitted sheet & down comforters. Managed to use that for several years & even through the 2009 ice storm that all 6 of my dogs wanted to share with me. Dog nails dont work well with air mattresses. It took me over 3 years before I finally hauled my brand new boxed up sleep number bed up the stairs & put it together. I went through 3 air mattresses before finally getting enough energy to deal with getting my REAL BED put together to use. Its nice but just like the air mattress I have one side that doesnt stay inflated. I relagated that side to my dogs though when snuggling on these cold nights, forget sides...its everyone as closebtobmom as possible

We have lots of the little spindly-legged ones here. Those that sleep with me have a bit of a fuzzy quality to them. They don't look like wolf spiders. Two of them are on me right now. When trying to protect my kids ages ago, I tried to kill a very large wolf spider with spray paint. That didn't work. It was still alive under the trash can lid I threw on top after the soaking in krylon. It did move a bit slower so I was able to stomp it. I honestly don't like the idea of killing things. I'm ok with killing for food. I even eat meat. I catch flies and let them go outdoors. But then, I do sometimes enjoy the most violent of videogames, so does that make me a hypocrite? |

Its also nice to know thay your slip isnt showing or you dont have a tail of toilet paper streaming behind. Just a few good uses for mirrors. I dont use makup but have you ever seen makup that someone put on without a mirror....it can be VERY ENTERTAINING. How often those things we hate & want to eliminate have a good purpose along with the bad. Its hard to come up with something totally bad to eliminate. Come to think sbout it....maybe drunk driving. There is no useful purpose for that & the horrible traumas that come from the accidents caused I would definitely want to eliminate the cause of such a thing

Would love to outlaw stupidity & lack of common sense. Would have saved me a lot of headaches. Lol....with the krylon..good idea though. I have found a great natural bug killer. I use Krud Kutter to clean everything. Buy it bu the gallons in Walmart or Lowe's. It is biodegradable & cuts dirt like Ive never seen before. Its really great to kill spiders with, at least the smaller ones. Nothing stops the big ones & i usually use a can of bug spray trying to stop them from attacking me while spraying them.
