I just got a EUREKA! moment and made up a sentence in my head. Yep, EUREKA! is usually about a scientific breakthrough. But I remember having such moment as this, where the idea has to do with... the interpersonal realm? Anyway, here's my sentence:

"In a world where flowers grow and bloom towards variously different directions, it takes effort to bend towards another flower, to face your true faces".

It may use refining but I'd like to hear your thoughts... and your own made-up sentences, too!

Let's start!

EDIT: I think I can write up a metaphorical story regarding flowers and life.
EDIT 2: I wrote something. Where can I upload it on this site?

Thanks for this!

Very powerful. It motivates me to actively fight for a better live, even if that's connected with struggle.

Here's a sentence that encompasses the key lesson I've learnt while staying at a mental facility this summer:

"Just because your feelings might not be rational, that doesn't mean they're not real."

Trust your emotions and don't blur your vision by rationalising all the time.

The sky was gloomy and gray when I was scheduled to have an airplane flight. Once we got above the clouds, the sky was bright and sunny.

Rise above the clouds, and the sky is always blue.

Mind you, easier said than done. Rising above takes a lot of work.

Also, I'd love to read your story. I think the creative corner may be an appropriate place?

Yes it certainly does take effort to bend toward another flower and face your fears. Its hardly ever easy to face one's fears. In fact its quite a fearful thing to do.
My wisdom saying instead of thinking its difficult think of it as a challenge.

True. And just because something is not rational, it doesn't mean it's not right.

May I add that you need to have continuous support from below in order to stay up high, otherwise the pillar could fall.

I did a bit of searching and found, to my surprise, that the bit about the sky being blue above the clouds is a quote by St. Therese of Lisieux. I wonder how she knew? I made the literal discovery in an airplane. Those didn't exist in her lifetime.

This is a dark one, yet also a defensive one when in need. It goes for cases where someone says they're not perfect to justify their offensive actions and make you accept them.

Just because somebody else has pneumonia doesn't mean we should ignore it when we have a cold.

Try not to be stuck in something just because you want to keep face. You will have a harder time finding your soul.

I didn't get it, can you elaborate? Is it a metaphor for something and if so, for what?

It happened literally at our house, but I turned it into a metaphor. What I mean is, just because someone else's problems are worse doesn't mean we should ignore our own.

My husband and I were both sick at the same time. It turned out that I had a severe cold, and he had pneumonia. Yes, his illness was more serious than mine. Yes, he needed stronger medicine and more time to recover.

Because he was sicker than I was, this didn't mean I wasn't sick at all. I still needed to treat my cold, so I would be up to the task of helping him treat his pneumonia. If I had ignored my own health, and told myself my little itty bitty cold wasn't worth worrying about because he's the one who's really sick, I might have gotten sicker. And then what good would I have been to him?

It reminds me of university where I once ended up asking some people an amount of questions, until one of the replied "We have the materials on our notebooks", hinting that I should check it on my own.
I got a little annoyed as it was kind of brushing me off, but I thought about it and understood it's because they also have to help themselves study and can't always be available to help others.
Thanks for this!
