I'm hating that the earth is turning on it's axis. It makes the sun at this time of day, shine right through the front room bay window and RIGHT IN MY EYES!! argh? I've got no way to stop it or block it. argh?

Besides, the coming of Fall and Winter make me realize how quickly time flies. Why can't it slow down some... like when I was a kid. Summer laster a lifetime! argh? Winter did, too, but who cared?? I sure didn't! The Winter of my life was eons away and I had all the rest of my live to live ... and not think of "Winter."

IDK... am I melancholy?? Nah... not me. LOL NEVER me! argh?

It's more the passing of time, the changing of the seasons that makes it so obvious. I have no reason to dislike Winter here in CA. Don't have to fight snow and all that stuff.

I don't remember the sun shining through the bay windows last year. argh?

Maybe I should be thankful that the sun was in my eyes? Are you in a part of the world where the sun doesn't shine in the winter? argh?

Maybe it's just me... No one seemed "to get" the ever increasing speed of the passage of time that was the jist of my post.

It's true what the joke says "Life is like a roll of toilet paper; the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes." For some reason, it isn't funny to me. It's just true. argh?

A matter of perspective? I happen to love "winter." It's cooler and I feel better. The flowers bloom superbly.

You can make time slow for yourself, at least in increments. argh?

Haven't you ever been in a situation where everything went "into slow motion?" Through meditation and mindfulness, you can do that on purpose.

The feeling of time flying as we age has been researched. (Obviously funded through our tax payer dollars.)

They say that we don't feel like time flies (but barely moves) when we are young because we have so much to do, and are active in so many things. As we age, we aren't learning new things everyday, don't have a busy schedule of things that are enjoyable and that we look forward to, etc.

This changes our perspective, and somehow makes time feel like it's flying. When we look back, we don't have many things to review as what we've "done" lately, recently, today... we don't have the "feeling" that we have accomplished much in "all that time."

So... plan your days, learn new things go new places (at least on the web?) and pack your days full to slow down the time! argh? argh?

Is this fast enough for you? Don't blink or another year will have flown by.

Hmmm... I thought it worked the other way around... so much to do and not enough time! argh? Not much to do, too much time. :scratch_head: argh?

You could always turn around? Then it would have a hard time getting in your eyes. Get mirrors and work off the ceiling or something. Some people dance on it. . .

Sounds fun... but I would have to rearrange my front room as well as my kitchen in order to turn around.

Now if I could even do one step of dancing on the floor then dancing on the ceiling wouldn't sound like such an impossibility! argh? Don't think I could ride my wheelchair on the wall to get on the ceiling! argh? argh?

Guess I could pretend, though! But then, the sun would be on my left side instead of my right side! argh? SHEEESH! Can't win for losin'! LOL
