I quite urgently need suggestions. I hate changing phone and getting used to another one, but it seems it will be necessary soon. Now I have an LG and I like everything, just I don't like the camera, the photos aren't very good (5 mpixel I think) and it's difficult to move them from phone to SD card, it can be done but with many passages. I like Android, however.
So, what I'm looking for in a phone is: -that the camera is good and it's easy to copy and paste photos from an album to another, like from camera to my album on SD card -that is comfortable to use in general -that is good for using PC ![]() -that is easy to change language on your keyboard, if you know...though usually there is a way -maybe not so important, but I'm used to can turn on the display by clicking on it two times instead of pressing the button...do you know if other phones have this option? I don't know how to call it ![]() Thanks!!

I dont want to give the impression that I am some Apple-superiority complex freak but i really like my iphone. My kids had iphones before me. I always said I liked the android platform better and I didnt want an all touch screen and that it would be too hard to get used to-well it wasnt. I watched a few youtube videos and I was hooked. I never buy the biggest and best iphone. I like a phone thats a year or two behind the newest because: 1- they are cheaper-iphones are expensive but i get mine through my carrier, 2- Their newest phones a lot of times either do not have the kinks worked out or are not that different than an older iphone. 3- their security is really good. I know it is not impossible to infect an iphone with malware or hack it but generally the platform is too much of a hassle to hack and the android platform has a lot more vunerabilities. I have an iphone 7- a year old. My husband got an upgrade and only went to the 8 plus, he didnt see the point of the X or 10 or whatever the new ones are called.

Thanks for your feedback! I know some people love Apple, but I'm not fond of the idea of changing

Do they have Best Buy mobile stores where you are?
I have an iPhone but I like Samsung’s even though they are a challenge to me going from an iPhone which I am used to figuring out my mother’s Samsung A3 phone. My sister also own an iPhone it’s weird but looking for an Samsung phone for my friend. I have done lots of research and price points. It depends what your budget is but Samsung’s seem to be the most compatible phones out there on the market. They have good cameras, file away the files to an SD card and connect to anything via Bluetooth too send songs/files back and forth between devices. Samsung s7 or s8 is what I found to be stellar in performance levels with everything. Over the years I started with owning a Motorola so am partial to owning one for fun. Then had a blackberry, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, and finally iPhones. I don’t have the latest iPhone I am on contract and upgrade every 2 years through my service provider. By the time it comes to that 2 year mark it’s old and out of fashion with the latest technology and seems to get slower with the updates. It does what I want to do and does what is wants to do when I don’t screen lock it and put it in my pocket. I hope this some what helps in a decision for yourself.

Thank you. Yes, some people suggest Samsung...I'll see. If you tried using one, do you know if it's easy to use PC with it?

I have a Samsung tablet to confess that it’s like a computer I am sure that pc computer will work with a Samsung phone. Most of the information I read on the internet on geek sites around Samsung and PC computers says they are compatible more so then a iPhone. Since iPhone you need iTunes which is something more u have to download in order to open the files on the phone. Samsung connects with a driver from the phone via USB to allow to open files. Sounds way more simplistic then having to search for an application on the web for a phone to download that before using the applications on the phone.

![]() Research, what is it that's your biggest buying points? It takes me forever to decide.. but I find it's well worth the Time to shop around... go to best buy or other stores and try out the products... ![]() I have a Samsung s9+, but when you say "normal price" what is that? I love my camera. I'm using it for PC on the chrome browser. To me it's nice. For work I have a iPhone 6 which is great too but I I believe the Samsung is a tad better with the camera... but the newest iPhone may be more awesome on that. I had a Hauwie honor 6 and loved it but ... the fear that's on the news scared me if true.. ((and my paranoid mind is like "they are doing a great job if true because cheaperand awesome phones would be a smart tactic " ... Pixlr phone I thought on but only the 2 was out when I got my Samsung... I watched so many YouTube reviews, and CNET reviews then tried all my choices out at a store, testing picture quality and functionality. LG - I will always miss my dare ![]() I don't care for Nokia either. I have had Blu phones, which I liked but have been steering away from. I honestly think, if you're into your phone, and it's one of your things, to research and try them out..... ![]() ![]()

I have had a Samsung for 2 phones (lost my first one on my farm somewhere).
The camera on samsungs have been known to be outstsnding. My camera automatically writes the pictures to my SD card....then I just have to move them to the appropriate folders. Living in the country I get dropped calls a lot. Also have noticed as the battery gets older, when it gets low before being warned it's low calls get garbled (hear every few words then silence). My computer died several years ago & I have done almost everything I could do on a computer EXCEPT word processing & no app to interface to my older wifi printer but everything else I do on my phone. Lol small keypad & lots of typing errors but it works

Personally, I have navigated to the LG V series because I am a bit of an audiophile with a high end pair of Sennheisers as my headset so having the built in DAC lets me be an audiophile on the cheap.
But yeah, I never buy the latest phone new. I won't spend $600-1000 on a brand new phone that will be outdated in a year. If a phone comes out that I want, I wait 6-12 months for the price to come way down and then I buy used. Also, I buy my phones from reputable sellers on eBay. I bought my used LG V20 on there 6 months after it came out for $200. Keep in mind this phone was a good $600 when it came out late 2016. Speaking of used phones and eBay, I am switching to a service called RedMobile which has a partnership with eBay. You can get discounted phone service when you buy a phone off eBay. You can get unlimited talk and text and 1GB of data for under $20 per month through them and they work with all major carriers. |

I can't do without my smartphone as it's primarily for business. If the OP is wishing to choose a phone for pleasure, then consider a good deal with a known branded supplier such as virgin who I've been using for a long time. Beware being cold called by your internet provider tempting you to upgrade your phone toi the latest. Shop around online for best tariffs. If you like photography consider one of theose Chinese phones that have the lovely leicas lens. huawei, samsung are all good and iphones if they are your bag. Really, it's all down to choice of phone and how much your chosen tariff is.
Never forget that your phone will need a protective case. Accidentally drop it, the screen breaks and then repairs may be costly, so invest in a good protective case. Choose one that feels comfortable in your hand. Same goes with choosing your phone, I'd imagine. ![]() |

![]() As for your current problem, perhaps you could return to where you bought your phone and ask the specialist techie to guide you? Usually they are very helpful, especially to new customers having bought from them. While I remember, I strongly recommend you get a VPN to protect your identity and personal stuff on your phone. VPNs enable users to have their own personal 'rabbit burrow', rendering you invisible against hackers. Especially in WiFi areas such as cafes, trains and airports. Anywhere really. One such VPN supplier is Nord, but shop around. A one year's subscription should enable you protection for laptops, ipads etc. Any reputable VPN will never log their clients' browsing. Having a VPN however will not protect you from sites that contain malware. If you like music from your phone, you can enhance your listening pleasure enormously by using a Digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). I use a thumb sized Dragonfly DAC via an adapter, and plug my headphones in for glorious lossless high definition music. I listen to Classic FM, or BBC Radio 3 for classics. You should also be able to read ebooks on your phone with a suitable app. As ebooks' can gradually eat up file space on your phone, you can delete them while retaining the ebooks 'in the cloud'. Enjoy your phone. It's simply incredible what they are capable of! ![]()
