@Access Denied

Thank you for sharing! I'm so glad to hear that your dreams of becoming a doctor came true! Wow, med school and all the science, math, anatomy, biology, chemistry, physics, etc. that go with that training - I cannot imagine how much information humans can hold until I saw my peers taking all those pre-med courses during their undergraduate years. People who can successfully complete med school cease to amaze me with their many talents. I've read blogs by doctors who somehow have spare time to write and have fun hobbies; the intelligence in your community seems highly rewarding! Congratulations!

PS: I used to watch House and still watch Good Witch (where one of the stars of the show is a doctor). Are the shows like these or other shows really an accurate portrayal of what doctors go through on the ER unit or in general? I've always wanted to ask that question to a doctor. The shows on television and in movies probably dramatize the field, but I've always been curious. I could never do what you do, but the training you all go through (as well as many people with PhDs and PsyDs), seems entertaining to me, since it requires a lot of work, dedication, memorization, and intelligence. (Sorry if I sound like a groupie or a fan, as I watch too many television shows or read too many peer-reviewed articles. I'm like a kid in grade school on career day, LOL; it's fun to hear about everyone's interesting job titles.) There are many other fields I've read here that also require a certain level of talent and high intelligence (not just with math and science, but like physical intelligence, social intelligence, and more), and it blows me away to think that there are all these unique jobs out there!
