Oh god mines is havoc (Turkey, Pigs In Blankets, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Bread Sauce, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Potatoes, Honey Glazed Carrots and Parsnips) then we have pulling crackers for fun, a candle for my Mum with a wreath around it. Before the Turkey we have starters either (Salmon or Mackrel Pate on crackers or toast OR Hone-made Soup) then we have dessert either (Christmas Yule Log OR a traditional Trifle)
Looks chaotic but it's not there is only 3 of us now round the table |

Did I go through a time warp??? Well Revenge, I suggest we take your table and bring it over to Miss Laura's. Apple pie would certainly round out the combined spread! I have nothing but I'll volunteer doing the dishes. [after a little burp and nap]

It might be chicken with the fixings. Christmas Day dinner is not as big of a deal as Christmas Eve dinner, where I am in Czech Republic. The traditional Christmas Eve dinner is carp (prepared some way) with carp soup, potato salad, and other sides. No one but my huband likes carp, in his family. Sometimes I make Shrimp with Feta or pork schnitzels with potato salad.
Lots of Christmas cookies!

Probably 'gourmet' which is a kind of table grilling thing we do here in Holland. My husband eats meat and I don't so that works quite well (when we have separate grills, some people share). So he will have all different meat things and I'll have all different veggie things. We might only do that on new year's eve though and just get Chinese takeaway for Christmas and Boxing Day! Then I'll get veg with rice and he'll get some meat thing :-/

I have no idea. My daughter is doing Christmas dinner this year, so it could be anything fro fish, to chicken. Her hubby loves to bbq so if the weather holds it could be bbq. They are still experimenting with what they want a Christmas meal to be.

It's the same here in Chile, Christmas Eve is the big celebration meal. My husband and I will have a barbecue. Some people do things like turkey in the oven, but I find it heats up the house too much because it's summer here in the Southern Hemisphere. The week between Christmas and New Year's is always very hot. |

For ours it`s a mix of American and Mexican Christmas traditions. So, it would be tamales and rice and beans, macaroni salad, mashed potatoes and ham. I don`t eat meat so I mostly stick to the sides. Oh yes, I also bake tons of cookies.

Non serious answer: Probably Willow (cat) trying to make the turkey turn into chicken - coming up to tell us to give her some, then sulking when the turkey proves to be turkey and not chicken
Serious answer: just the usual stuff - turkey, vegetables, stuffing, etc |

My pusscat would not touch turkey either. Chicken was ok for her but for some reason turkey was not. I used to do up 5 or 6 turkeys a year. Simply because it was cost efficient protein I could freeze in portions but not ONCE did that mouserpuss touch what I put down for her. Every time I pulled one from the oven I'd feel obliged to try but nope...not once.
I originally thought maybe it something to do with the stuffing seasoning but when I roasted them without, she reacted the same way. She'd look up at me as if I was a loony and I'd have to give her treats or open a tin of tuna. She was def. a seafood cat. No problem there. ![]() |

My guy wasn’t a turkey cat either. He rejected most human food straight out. But he was crazy about deli meat. Something I couldn’t give him much of as all the sodium was bad for him. Hmm speaking of deli meat, it’s been awhile since we had some. It’s a treat for both of us. Maybe that’s what I’ll get for the day before ?

I'll get a small ham. Dress it up with pineapple, cloves and cherries. Sweet potato, corn. Maybe a salad. With ham I like beer . . . maybe a dark beer. It's just me. So I've no need to have all kinds of variety. Maybe pecan pie for desert with an Irish coffee.
