Store lights make me dizzy and light headed and I feel like passing out when I do in store shopping.

I've thought of wearing sunglasses inside stores because I'm pretty sure that would solve the issue.

But I don't want people stareing at me and thinking something is wrong like I'm blind or just giving me unwanted attention in general.

What do you think?

Have you thought of picking up a pair of lightly tinted sunglasses?
It's nicer for others if they can see your eyes when they talk to you.
And they shouldn't cause undue/unwanted attention to yourself.

I'll look at them. I haven't really looked at any yet.

MD, Bono from U2 wears glasses on stage and indoors due to an eye problem. Glaucoma, I think. Do what works for you.

I love the pair I got.. They are tinted orange so I see everything in orange and you can see my eyes. I might get a pair in blue.

Another option you could look into (especially for prescription glasses) are Photochromic or transition lenses. They go darker in sunlight, semi-dark in clouds, and very lightly tinted indoors. Kind of like built in sunglasses.
So basically they are regular glasses, although they always have a slight tint even indoors, and turn into sunglasses as required.

Unfortunately, I believe the tints only come in brown or grey. And the slight indoor tint may not be enough to make you comfortable in the bright lights of malls. But you could have your orange sunglasses for that if needed.

I have transition lenses. I love them. Indoor lighting does not seem to trigger darkening though.

After by brain injury I not only wore dark sunglasses I also wore Bose large noise canceling headphones. I still wear noise canceling ear protection they are small buds nows. I wore sunglasses inside for 10 years easy. Stores are difficult to process because every product is trying to gain your attention. For me its overwhelming. I call grocery stores, my Kryptonite!
