I put nightmares in quotations because they aren't terrifying. They are short and just leave me heartbroken and sobbing every time I manage to doze off.

The dream goes like this; my sister goes "Grey, you need to wake up now. (my brothers name) is here." and I wake up in this panic and he's never there, obviously, but it's like all the air gets sucked out of my lungs and I have this childish hope that maybe he will be there one day when I wake up fast enough.

I cry every night now. I want him back so badly.

I am a believer and I believe in reincarnation. I understand your pain. You are a loving sister and your brother will always be with you in your memories. Maybe , he will be back as your grand son someday. I am not making superstitious talks to comfort you but writing what I believe. If I said something I have no right of , then I am sorry. I have no sister and I treat my cousin as my sister and I love her a lot. please take care of yourself.

(I do not identify as male or female on this website; so my only ask is to use "they" as my pronouns to keep my anonymity)

I do not know what I believe in. I am not religious. I believe our atoms are released upon our death, and what happens after that I am not sure of. All I know is that I will miss him every day of my life. Maybe I'll catch a glimpse of him. Or he'll just come to my dreams more often.

I just miss him so much that it nearly feels like it could be an impossibility.

I never put much thought/ value in reincarnation until I took a physics class! In short everything on this planet carries energy. Energy does NOT die, leave it only emerges as a differnt source. Our souls/ bodies are nothing BUT energy. Our body might die, but the energy which made us what we were is still out there. I'v never liked the celebration of the "dead body"so to speak at funerals. It was only the vehicla for the energy we are to be carried in. When we die that old body means nothing anylonger. Like a snake who's shed his skin. It old dead skin- but not the animal anymore. We do continue on in some other form. Maybe a more productive, or on a different level for life. No onew knows- except the 100% fact that our bodies are 100% energy and that has to go someplace else- as energy does NOT die.
Thanks for this!
