I have one heck of a toothache. Toothache home remedies? Anyone know of any home remedies that work well? PLEASE respond if you do!!

tea bag. we used them when we went camping. the caffeine has a deadening effect.

...thinking.... ginger might help, it sure helps migraines!

Wad of cotton soaked with clove oil and placed on the tooth.

clove oil is great and you also can place an aspirin on the tooth and let it "dissolve"....

thank you , thank you , thank you!! Soooooo much. I tried the tea bag first and it helped some. But I still had pain. So, then I tried the aspirin.. and it worked for about an hour. But the clove oil was a GOD SEND!!!! Thanks SOOOO much!! Toothache home remedies?

Hello!!

Elderberry oil will also help with toothache pain.Apply prn to affected area.

I haven't been able to find any clove oil to try but the ambisol (sp) I've been able to find at the drug store seems to work temporarily. I hope you have found something that does by now, I know toothaches can be soooooo painful.

Yeah, ambisol and oragel can be a lifesaver. One thing you should NEVER do is apply heat. I had a bad tootache once and I was applying cold and heat alternately, and when I finally got to the dentist's he told me the heat helped the infection grow and could've resulted in it spreading to my brain! Tooth pain is the worst!
