Is going up and down stairs considered exercise?
Do it about 8 times a day, panting heavely

I hope you all do not mind a friendly comment but I have noticed just in reading this that many of you do not eat any protein with each meal..It would be best of you did...and pasta seems to be a downfall...If you are trying to lose weight lose the pasta or eat whole grain pasta...Good luck and yes LMO is right exercise is wise daily

I didn't know what to call it. My Mom makes it. She dumps some lettuce in some boiling water really quickly and then takes it out. In the water there's salt and some oil. Then we eat the lettuce.

I just did some aerobics, only 12 mins, but I still feel it was a workout because I'm really out of shape.

So far I had 1 1/2 cup of coffee with about 4 teaspoons whitener and sweetener.

I'm OK now, thanks Sleeps.

I think it was the coffee on an empty stomach that did it.

How is everyone doing today?

Yesterday and today were the same as the other days. I've had a hard time today not wanting to give in to emotional eating, but I've done well. I'm going to trampoline while I'm watching Project Runway.

I drank 4 cups of green tea (as you can see, I like tea)
ate 1 hard boiled egg
handful of almonds
bowl of rice + asparagus

Going out for drinks with some other girls tonight, so won't get any exercise in Weight loss thread should have done it earlier. Doh.

I've been thinking about it -- I'm not worried about my eating. I like what I eat and generally don't eat stuff I'm not supposed to or overdo portions or anything like that. For me, it's all about getting out of the house and getting more exercise. I feel 100000x better when I do, and I care less about my actual weight/size; am much more accepting of myself. I'd rather be strong and carry a few extra pounds than skinny but weak.

I'm curious, how much weight do people here want to lose?

Right now I want to lose 15 pounds. It will make a big difference for me because I'm really short, 4'11. I might decided to lose more weight depending on how I feel and look. Right now I'm 114 pounds.

Today I ate. Weight loss thread

salad and 1/2 steak & cheese sub

apple and walnuts

1/2 spaghetti & meatsauce, salad

carrot cake

From 2 sites online I'm supposed to weigh only 125lbs - 160 lbs. Let me assure all who read here Weight loss thread that I cannot go below 160, and might be too thin at 160. So if I lose 20lbs that would be plenty. My main goals right now are: eat 4 times a day, and to eat foods that will raise my HDL, as it is too low.

I'm supposed to be 92 pounds to 121 pounds, but 121 is too high for me because I'm Asian and Asians are considered overweight at a BMI of 23 instead of 25.

Right now my BMI is exactly 23, so I'm overweight.

My doctor said that I'm completely healthy except my iron is a tiny bit low, even though I'm not anemic.

Hmmm...actually, a correction, my doctor said I would be completely healthy except for my mental problems. Weight loss thread

I was probably 20 pounds lighter 5 years ago. I haven't gotten on a scale anytime lately and don't plan to. I'm a size 8 now. I'd like to be a size 6 again. However, the size isn't as important as how I feel. I feel healthier when I exercise. I just want to feel like I take good care of myself.

I ate a breakfast bar before therapies.

Ate the other half of spaghetti & salad.

Then I had half an orange.

This eating has given my stomach a weird feeling... it doesn't feel any better than the usual (wrong) nerve sensing...when I don't eat. I guess I have to keep trying to ignore what my stomach "feels like" and pay attention to the clock...eat something/ eat 6 times a day...

I am quitting the chewable vitamins I had been trying. I'm allergic to them, somehow. Since they are many colors, I thought maybe it was just one coloring, and tried taking only one color for a week or so... to see if my skin would clear.. Nope. Even in all that effort ... it isn't going to work... So I'm hoping I won't be having skin reactions now that I am stopping them grrrr have to get what I need from food... but my body doesn't metabolize nutrients from all foods. sigh. I digress; sorry.
