WELL! I went back to the doctor on Tuesday. I had ANOTHER pelvic exam, it hurt sooo badly! My boyfriend went with me again and I saw a new doctor. I indroduced her to him and she was excellent. Basically she talked about what WE could do and everything. I liked the fact that she included my boyfriend in everything. She also said she'd make sure she was "descreet" as to not make my boyfriend uncomfortable. The pain was sooo horrendous I held out my hand and my boyfriend held it the whole time. I had to do a urine test, they took 3 samples from my cervix for different cultures, and took blood. Turns out...I STILL have a yeast infection.

The last time I went my doctor had perscribed a medication that kills two types of yeast. WELL my insurance wouldn't cover it. SOOO that meant 4 more weeks of agony and another trip to the doctor full of painful tests, costing MORE money. I am SOOO angry! It's 100% the insurance company's fault for deciding which ALTERNATIVE that I could have!!! They're making it all end up costing 10 times as much and pain and suffering for me. Anyhow the doctor said I HAVE to have this particular medication that the insurance won't cover so they were going submit some sort of authorization to insurance. When I went to pick up my perscription the pharmacist said that insurance had DENIED thier request. I ended up crying right then and there about how I've been having pain for six weeks and I can't go one more day. My boyfriend hugged me while I called my dad in tears. I don't have $130 to spend on perscriptions!!! He said not to worry about the cost, he'd cover it for me. He said my health is way more important than any ammount of money. I'm SOOOOO angry with my insurance company. I cannot belive this has happened to me. I seriously feel like I could sue or something. Having a yeast infection for SIX weeks!!! sorry I'm sooo upset. not to metion the fact that this has been affecting me emotionally as well

Wow, Spazz. If there's anything worse than gynecological problems (at least as far as physical health problems go), I don't know what it might be. I've had my share, and it's always sucked bigtime.

I hope you get some relief, and SOON.

Hugs (if you want 'em),
Candy
