Poor, poor babies... Panic attacks are horrible at any age.

Hugs,

That's very cool. Little man problem

He's doing really good now. He was stopped up a bit for the first time in his life. Actually, he wasn't but he's never had to "work" to poop...lol. So, it was kinda freaky for him.

We're through it and it's been a ride Little man problem

Thank you so much eveyrone!

I'll confess I haven't read the whole thread...

children sometimes have issues with the flushing away of "a part of them."

Hi KimmyDawn and everyone here -

I'm not a mom, although I've been a nanny in the past and have worked with kids a lot. I hope it's okay to write here because I just wanted to say thank you to all of you moms who are working to hard to be thoughtful to your kids when they are going through these changes! I was impressed to read about how careful you are being with their...well....developmental progress :-)

Thanks for being caring and loving moms, even about such delicate issues!

Take care,
ErinBear

Sky, I read that too...especially with little boys for some reason.

ErinBear, what a lovely thing to say. Little man problem

I can't even be my "normal mom" self with him. He's been hurt with them more than I know...emotionally. He thought he broke something here last night and I've never heard him cry that way. I had to PROVE that he didn't and let him play with it to show him. However, then he was sooooo nervous. It made me cry. His daddy did a number on him in a short amount of time at a delicate age. Little man problem

He's doing so much better, but it's going to be a long time of consistency an "ok's" for him to heal.

Give him more things that he can "control" to build his self esteem, and trust, and allow him to make good decisions for himself. ?

Yep, I try to keep him busy and creative with alot of "atta boy's". However, it's difficult when I become frustrated and "get on" him myself because I wonder what I might be triggering in his little mind.

I have to say that he's WAY different and care free. A child who can be as fearless as he is 99% of the time, feels pretty secure here. Little man problem that's my prayer with what i see. Just like I knew things weren't good, I feel they are for the most part.

Love and thanks,

kd

KD, as long as you are consistent with your love, that he never doubts that, it's good for you to be upset with him from time to time, and that he sees this. Sounds to me like all he knows is love is based upon his being good... and we know that isn't true.
