Thank YOU Sabrina & Always.... I have taken one of RA pain killers and it has helped to lessen some for the pain that I am feeling in my right eye and face, but not all of it. I just want to cry from all the pain and burning and yet I cant (fear to) for it might just make my eye problem / pain even worse.

The right side of my face has gone slightly numb..... Update on Pdoc Visit (today) Update on Pdoc Visit (today) Update on Pdoc Visit (today)

OK - went to doctor appt and she thinks that my sinus infection opened up and went to my eye..... I am on a really strong antibiotic for 10 days and some stronger painkillers.
I will be having a Cat Scan done next Thursday for they said they could not not do it today for I needed insurance approval..... OMG!! - are they nuts or some thing, I was having severe headache with facial numbness and a swollen eye - is that not an emergency?

Oh well...... I will get through this as always....... ((( hugs ))) to ME.
My husband is gone to KY this weekend for his grandmothers 90th surprise birthday party with his father & 4 brothers, so I will get some much needed rest..... wish me luck.

Update on Pdoc Visit (today) ugh that has to hurt! I know when I had a sinus infection, during the surgery they found polyps growing on the wall of the brain!!!

I guess since the treatment is probably contingent on reducing the infection and swelling through meds anyway, knowing the next step is what's based on the cat scan??? But yeah, that's a long time to wait for authorization! Update on Pdoc Visit (today) Update on Pdoc Visit (today) TC

Oh Rhap!!

I'm so sorry you're going through this! How horrible!

When you get your antibiotics, buy some acidolphilous and take double the recommended amount. It will keep the antibiotic from causing upset in your digestive system.

I hope you feel better very soon.

Hugs,

Jan

very easy to research via Google if you spell it as 'ACIDOPHILUS'.

It's a bacteria - found in most yogurt and available in vitamin form.

well, my experience with yogurt is that the bad effects of too much dairy counteract the benefits of the acidophilus... so I'd probably supplement with a supplement. Dairy itself is not easy to digest for most adults.

My daughter needs to take that stuff when she's been on antibiotics. The pediatrician told me to by the kind that is kept refrigerated in the pharmacy. It isn't a prescription, you just have to ask the pharmacist for it. It comes in a little box with 15(?) little packages of powder form acidophilus. Very effective stuff at helping the digestive tract!

UPDATE:

Ok - my doctor called about the Echo Ultra Sound I had last week.... it shows that I have cyst on both my ovaries and at the mouth of my cervix, hence the excruciating pain I have been suffering for months on end, 1 to 3 weeks at a time.
My Doctor will monitor the cyst and make sure that none of them turn cancerous (family history), and I just have to learn to live with but another form of inner body PAIN, I already have RA & Bursitis and now this - oh what joy for me.
The only resource at this time (since the cyst are not large enough to consider surgery, but large enough to cause me pain) is to try hormonal therapy (birth control pills) for 4 months and see if they go away.... but they could always return. I am personally against this for 16 years ago I was taken me off the pill for there was great concern of a tumor developing in my brain.... Big Sigh!

Ovarian Cysts:

1.) pressure or pain in the abdomen
2.) ache in the lower back and thighs
3.) problems passing urine completely
4.) pain during sexual intercourse
5.) weight gain
6.) painful menstrual periods and abnormal bleeding
7.) nausea or vomiting
8.) breast tenderness

Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that can form on the ovary when one or more of the egg-containing follicles mature, but do not release the egg into the fallopian tube...
Cysts can twist, bleed, or they can rupture. Most cysts are benign or not cancerous. However, cysts can sometimes be malignant or cancerous. For this reason, your doctor should check all cysts. If a cyst is benign and not causing problems, it may go away on its own and not require any treatment other than observation. If cysts are a recurring problem, hormonal therapy can be used to shrink an existing cyst and/or keep new cysts from forming. A doctor may also suggest removing a cyst, especially if it seems to be growing. If surgery is needed, a benign cyst can often be removed without removing the ovary.

Ovarian cystectomy refers to removal of the ovarian cyst.
An Oophorectomy is a procedure that removes the entire affected ovary.

Thanks............. Yeah I have painkillers that I use to get on with my days when my RA is acting up and to enable me to sleep at night. I live on painkillers 24-7 during my cycle and some times the week before and the week after my period, heck I guess that is almost all the time now - Big Sigh!

I am so sorry! I have had ovarian cysts for about 10 years now (I'm 36). I understand how much they can hurt, especially when they burst. I actually will run a fever for about 5 hours when it bursts. I use dissociation to escape the pain and also reading a really engrossing and easy-to-read book. It sounds like you already have the chocolate remedy working for you too.

I had a hysterectomy and one ovary removed in 2003. I chose this route after suffering from fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts since 1994. The pain was just too much to take each month. I only had about 5 days per month when I didn't need to take something for the pain. I had all the fibroid tumors removed in 1995 (called a myomectomy) but they grew back within 2 years.

I don't know how old you are or if you would consider removing one ovary (that way the remaining ovary still provides hormones), but I find that only having one ovary with cysts is much less painful. It seems that my left ovary only grows a cyst every 3 months or so.

You said that the cysts are not large enough to consider surgery. I'm not sure this is true and you may want to get a second opinion. If you are in pain from it continually, that may be cause to have either the cyst or the ovary removed.
