And then getting sick? It happens to me about once a week. I just wake up coughing a ton and I keep a bucket by my bed and afterwards I sometimes go right back to sleep. Other times I'm up for half an hour.

I've heard people can die from this. Have I just been lucky or what.

I hate throwing up, so i wouldnt call doing it once a week lucky. But basically i think people who die in their sleep from it are not waking up because they are passed out or otherwise under a sedative effect of drugs or alcohol.

This happened in the car for the first time today. I had fallen asleep and then I woke myself up because I started coughing. Luckily I didn't get sick, my mom gave me some of her water and I was fine.

Yeah, it's if you don't wake up to do it you die because your airways get blocked with half digested mac salad and you can't get it out. You've been "lucky" that you've woken up.

Do you have anything that helps with nausea that'll help you can do before bed? Ginger tea/candy/ale, zofran, something?
