Whenever I've tried to preplan my meals for the week I end up with only 860 calories but 2500 mg of sodium and then I give up and just go on what I feel like eating that day.

I have a lot of food like a variety of beans and a lot of different kinds of rice. I have a few sweet potatos and some other potatos. It just seems like a lot of carbs. I have some frozen grilled nuggets.

Plus I just don't really want to eat much lately which is another reason sticking to a plan is hard.

Im having problems because my housemate needs to gain a lot of weight and I need to lose about 40 pounds. I would never touch Ozempic etc.
Have you tried a hot pot? Allows you to cook ahead. Great for soups and stews. I also love my air fryer. I agree with you about salt. There is so much of it in prepared and fast foods!
