Stage 3, pretty agressive too.
I'm not too worried, it's not like it's stage 4/5
Although it probably will be soon if she doesn't get it treated ASAP.

Yeah, she is having some issues with the doctors down there and my stepdad wants to bring here up here to the north were evidently the healthcare is much better. (no offence to all southerners here So....my granma has cancer )

Okay, so an update-

Apparently, stage 3 is pretty bad So....my granma has cancer
She needs surgery ASAP
You know, so the tumor doesn't grow any bigger and spreads to other organs.

...Did I mention that no one has any clue what it's attatched to?

Kaika I hope your granma gets her surgery soon and the prognosis is good afterwards. Keep us posted, okay? My thoughts are with you and your Granma and your family.

I moved from the north to the south and I have to agree with you about healthcare and doctors.

Well, a bit of an update:

She isn't coming up here, which is understandable because cancer has a long follow-up process (it's not like you can just have the surgery and go back home) and well, she'd really hate to be stuck up here during the fall/winter when it gets freezing out So....my granma has cancer BUT! I'm pretty sure she found a surgeon to do the procedure. My mom is supposed to visit her in June. But...that's really all the info I know right now.

Oh, and apparently stage 3 IS bad (not like any stage of cancer is good but...) I'm hoping that the cancer cells didn't go through her lymph nodes and started spreading....

Thanks for the update Kaika.

It must be hard on your stepdad being so far away from her at this time. Scary for everyone, I'm sure.

Thinking of you and sending best healing wishes to your granma that the surgery will be a great success and she'll be feeling better soon. So....my granma has cancer

Well, it's actualy my mom's mom and not my step-dad's mom (though, I kinda didn't make that clear in the first post, so I can see the confusion) I'm going over to my mom's house tomarrow so maybe I'll get an update on the situation.

It's kinda funny though, my stepdad and her kinda butt-heads togather because "She has an opinion for everything and says it regardless of wether or not it's called for" which my response was "Hmmm...now why does that sound like what people keep telling me in art class?" So....my granma has cancer he laughed and said that the trait wasn't necessarily a bad thing if you think about it.

Well, no real updates yet, just getting a "good stiff drink" some amount of time before picking my aunt up from the airport. It's good to know that she wont be alone with my aunt living with her (she is going to live with her in order to get away from an emotionaly abusive boyfriend, which is also good news!) apparently she is feeling alot better these past few days, now that the initial shock is gone.

Okay, so a bit of an update:

Granma is opting for chemo + radiation to treat the cancer. The guy said that given the size, her age, and her heart condition that she'd have a 50-50 chance of making it through surgery so it was decided that this was the best treatment for her.

But yes, she is feeling quite a bit better with the company. When my mom and stepdad go on vacation down to Atlanta they were talking about doing all of these things together (if she is up for it)
