I have been really sick lately. unable to eat, lost an extreme amount of weight. I fainted, been passing out and lightheaded. I went to the hospital and they ran every test possible. Blood tests, urine tests (They found Glucose overflowing and spilling into my urine.) They did an ultrasound and pregnancy test, which was negative. An MRI and found several cysts and follicles on both my ovaries. My husband and I were trying to have a baby for about 2 years now and didn't understand why we couldn't. He has Kidney stones and an infection also. ( I had to beg him to get checked out too) They have put me on Cipro and my husband on Cipro. along with other meds to kill the bacteria. Now i have been referred to a specialist dealing with endometriosis and Breast cancer. I go on april 30th to find out more. I have been weaning myself off cigarettes and caffeine like the doctors have told me. And I might have to have surgery. We want children eventually and I am so scared that we might not be able to. I assume you were tested for diabetes? The glucose spilling into your urine is a sign of high sugar levels, which also correspond to many of your symptoms ~ weight loss, fatigue, lightheadness, etc.

It is very rare to have breast cancer at your age. It does occur, but the most likely ages for breast cancer in women is over 50. Same with ovarian cancer.

Do you have breast cancer in the family on your mother's side? This is a risk factor for early-age BC. Did they perform a mammogram?

I know it is difficult and I hope you feel better. Try to relax and keep yourself as healthly as possible until you see your doctor Possible Cancer at age 25

Ovarian cancer usually happens to women over 50 too. I think they are just checking things out, thoroughly. You didn't mention pain so doesn't sound like endometriosis.

Hope things get better for you.

Possible Cancer at age 25

My mom started her struggle with ovarian & various other types of cancer at your age. It's a horrible thing to have to deal with, as I had seen my mom deal with it.

I'm so sorry that you're struggling with all this stuff.

Hang in there.

yes they tested me for diabetes, it was negative The Glucose was from a 7 year old cyst that never went away. Breast Cancer runs on my mothers side, as well as my fathers side. My mother had tumors removed from her breasts at age 25. They were benine, but if not removed would have turned cancerous. They are performing a mammogram on me on April 30th. As well as making arrangements to remove the cysts. I have extreme pain in both my breasts and sharp stabbing pains in my pelvic area. also have pain in my kidneys and entire back and 5 urinary Tract infections in the past 3 months. Lupus also runs in my family.

possible cancer? Did a doctor say that? If not, try not to jump to conclusions. I know that can be difficult. You don't know the reason for your symptoms and that must be frightening. I hope that isn't your diagnosis or that if it is that it can be treated easily.

So sorry to hear you have been feeling crummy. I wish you the best at your appointment and let us know what happens!

I know it can be rough going through all that testing.

The good news is that you and your doctors are aware of what is going on. Hopefully they can preform a cystectomy without removing your ovaries and you can go on to have children. If not there are other options available to you like adoption. I know it might not seem the same but you can build just as strong of bonds with an adopted child as a biological.

Try to keep a positive outlook on all this and think of a healthier future for yourself.
