I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea. During my stay at the sleep clinic, I stopped breathing 125 times in one night (didn't have a clue). During the second stay, they put a C-Pap machine on and I slept better. I'm hoping this will help me with my daytime sleepiness, etc. They say this goes along with thyroid problems, which I also have.

So I guess my psych meds are ok as they are. Maybe I'll have enough energy to go exercise now and lose weight.

Hubby has sleep apnea...but we can't afford the machine rental or purchase.

Sometimes I don't sleep because I worry about him....I listen when he stops breathing to make sure he starts again.

I hope you get to sleeping better!

That's another good point 1day. I'm concerned, too, if my insurance even covers this machine. But then, it's medically necessary, right? I mean, they say this can lead to heart disease. I really feel for you with your husband. There were a couple of times I woke up unable to breathe and I just began rather intensely patting my husband. He woke up and just said "Breathe, Breathe." It's a serious condition. I sure hope insurance covers this - for you and for me.
