Am having a hard time with my faith and the fact am trans
i go to a church that welcomes LGBT people and its nice church
but what am having problem is my OCD say am wrong for going to this church
wrong for being trans and am going to hell because am trans
my husband has said that i shouldnt worry about things like that
If God loves us he will understand
My OCD makes me have blasphemous thoughts and makes me feel unsure of my faith
My husband is supportive and loves me no matter what
I just cant accept myself as a christian and trans

Hi Jamie21: Well... since I have no faith... it is difficult for me to know what to write with regard to your post. Personally, I accept the explanation for the existence of life on earth that is provided by the theory of evolution. So, for me, whatever I am, or am not, is simply a result of my genetic inheritance along with the effects of the various experiences I've had along the way during my life... both good & bad...

If there is a god, I suspect s/he is much more concerned with how we care for one another rather than with the content of our thoughts. The unconditional love & support you enjoy from your husband is a precious gift. It is to be celebrated!

I can understand your dilemma Jamie. I prefer to look at the bible as a hardliners point of view. You see, God makes no mistakes, everything is for a purpose. If He made everyone in the world the same, it would be a pretty boring world. Sure I'm trans, but it also singles out those that judges, hate, discriminates....

We are all a tool for His hands and He loves us all. We are here to do His will...to live the life that He created for us. If I'm suppose to live in torture and agony in my faith, then I don't need to live at all.

I'm not saying kill yourself, but to find a loving relationship in your faith. Maybe your idea of a loving God isn't to loving??

I prefer to live a spiritual existence over a religeous one.
Thanks for this!

I'm not Christian, but I am religious ^^, so I'll try my best to help ya out! You don't need to feel bad about going to church just because you're trans, and your husband is right, too. You don't have to worry about this so hard. Good ol' God is still going to love you no matter what. Also, you can't help being trans because that's who you've been right from the womb, so why would you be hated for it?
Thanks for this!

You know...there is a few articles out there online addressing this very same topic that you and I are vexing over. Just like being a Trans Multiple myself.....just because this is the way that I was made....I'm going to stick to my faith and let Him deal with it in the long run. It isn't I to lead, but to follow God's very words. Besides...the Bible doesn't say a word on being transgender. Look at the eunuchs....they are in the Bible and are forgiven, too.

Hello dear Jamie, and everyone who's contributed here.
I'm not overtly religious in any particular way/faith/creed BUT, I definitely DO believe and KNOW that ''god'' (in whatever context you choose) loves everybody. It's not about praying, going to church or being so called ''normal'' ~~ as ''The Skeezyks'' rightly states, ''its how we care for one another'' that really counts.

Jamie, you have the full support of your husband, treat him as a kindered spirit, as he's there for you and there's such a lot to be said for that. Well, it says everything really.

LOVE and HUGS, as ever. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
