Hi, guys, I'm new here and I have a problem with my OCD, and it's there for more than ten years now, since I was a kid, I guess.
Anyway, there are few questions that I need to ask someone.

First, I know that OCD is about thoughts that you cannot control. For me, there are thoughts, but also there are events, places, images (explicit content) that in a way "triggers" my rituals which are rather complex, involving saying things, making certain moves and so on. My mind created a really complex system of triggers, thoughts and different reactions on them. They are all driven by irrational fears, and I never had any let's say typical symptoms like hand washing or fear of germs and diseases. So, I was wondering is this OCD at all, or am I just crazy?

And, sorry for my bad english

Hi there. You're not crazy and it sounds like OCD to me. It's a little hard to make a judgement call given that you weren't exactly specific but it's similar to mine. I have triggers for mine too and I'm not a germaphobe or a hand-washer. My rituals weren't as overt as yours, but still compulive. I still have intrusive thoughts but I find it easier to deal with them now.... of course now I have the Bipolar to deal with so maybe it's just overshadowing the OCD at the moment.
Anyway, I was wondering if you have sought any professional help for your OCD? If it is impacting on your life, there are most definately things you can do to help it. Best of luck to you!

No, I haven't seen a professional yet, but I intend to. Have you seen a doctor and did he offer you some helpful therapy? I am not enthusiastic about behavioural therapy, because I think it would be really too hard for me...
Thanx!
