Ok. here they come. we dont have enough money to swap gifts, i have to be in grab bags everywhere.

dont feel in the "spirit this year" and i have to decorate.....OCD is in high gear. cant sleep. counting, everything!!!!!! washing everything.

exercising past exhaustion. need to count my clothes.....that is the one that always comes out. my husband isnt making much money. we have had our differences but i am just stressed. and OCD is prevalent then.

just venting. merry christmas?

Going back to counting.

I can relate. I find myself obsessing on holidays past, and the here and now. One minute I am all in the mood then out of it again. I have had my tree up since October and Cant stop rearranging the furniture.

Your are not alone in the daze of the holidays. Seems like before we know it, will be time for the new year and all that entails. I hope things get more clear and you begin to feel better soon.

I am sure you are very welcome around here think same at times, just a lot of forums and many people i think everyone goes through that worry of not being welcome. I am glad to have read your thread as I have just not read any threads by you as i Can recall, and am glad to meet you. krzyk101

Of course you are welcome here,
Holidays can be hard on many of us, I know it's hard but try to remember to do good things for yourself too. Try anything relaxing(I know that is hard with ocd in overdrive), if you can lower your stress level then the ocd should lessen or that is what my T tells me at least.

CThomas...I know about the holidaze...I obsess about the little things like did I get the right gift what if they don't like it..what if the kids realize its from a garage sale and say ick. I don't have to worry about it because the kids in our family just appreciate the gift and give you a hug anyway but I still obsess about that. I also worry about will I say the right thing or look right etc.

I think holidays are bad for people with mental illness just generally I could be wrong but that is just my experience.

I don't think we have ever talked before and wanted to say welcome to PC!

Things will pick up soon. My mom doesn't make to much money and saving it up feels like it makes everything worst. Just hang in there.
