I've decided that is is imperative to start journaling immediately. I want to do it online instead of writing just because it's easier and faster. I need my journal to be completely private from anyone else. I would not want anyone to be able to read it unless I granted permission. It also must be FREE, my financial situation dictates that. What I'm asking for are suggestions of sites that will allow me to vent my feelings in a private matter with no cost. Smilie options would be a great feature to help me express all the craziness in my head. Although I NEED my journaling to be totally private, I would also like the site I use to have the option to read other people's journals that are not private.

So, if anyone can please suggest sites where I may be able to do this. I desperately need an outlet.

I also apologize for not being in a position that I can offer support to others at this time. I hope y'all can understand and forgive me.

I need to get this started right away to stop bottling up all these pent up emotions that are screaming to get out. I need to find some inner peace and I'm hoping that journaling will help me to deal with all the chaos and craziness that has taken over my mind.

Thanks in advance, I now go back to my self-induced hiatus. Sorry for the interruption.

why don't you just do in in notepad or microsoft works? create a journal folder and then you can read it, without being online..........looks like less hassle to me.....glad you're taking some time for yourself. i'm sure it will help you.

How about something like Yahoo Notepad (is that what it's called?). I think Yahoo and MSN both have notepads you can use and it gets stored on their server, not your machine.

There is also:

but I don't think it can be made private.

well, AG, 12 hours isn't much of a hiatus and it sounds like you recognize that you need some down time....best of luck.

LiveJournal and Blurty both allow you to set the level of privacy desired.

I have one of each and could help you with either one if needed.

Yep, I have an account at LiveJournal that I have set to completely private, so that only I can read it... I see others have already mentioned it, but I would like to put my word in for it.
