I admire you for giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, even as I saw how he was stirring things up and causing contention and distress here, no matter what his motives were. I didn't say anything because I was hoping everybody would just ignore him and it would end.

I, too, admire you for having the courage to express your views, even though, sometimes, it ends up that folks must simply 'agree to disagree', in order to move forward.

I am also hopeful that the airing of the issues, and successful conflict resolution (all around), has drawn people ever closer, and allowed us to learn more not only about group dynamics, but about ourselves...

How could I say no?

I'm learning a lot about friendships DE. I've always heard friends stick together thru good and bad. I'd thought of it in terms of friends bannng together to fight an outside evil, but I see now how sometimes the "bad" can feel like it's inside the friendship, breaking them apart. I'd like to survive this up and down. I think we're both very sensitive, and at least I know I let my anger take control sometimes.... I promise to try and watch it from now on.... Nothing I say can undo the hurt I've caused you, but I'm grateful for your willingness to leave it behind. I think that's best.

I've always followed the advice on your tagline... it's you that inspired me to do so.

I was going to say, that makes two of us, but I know there's a lot more than that. Let's all make sure we learn something from this, then it'' have been somewhat worthwhile.

I really agreed with your recent comments regarding disagreements and conflict..... but that's enough for me for awhile.. I'm glad to see we all pulled together at the end

Thanks again... Each time we go thru this I feel stronger about our friendship... the price is high, very high, but not too high. I think we've all become a tighter bunch, at least I hope so. Are we defining boundaries? Learning to agree to disagree? I'm glad we've held together just the same

I think we're all discovering boundaries we didn't know we had. What I think is wonderful is that this time, you and I respected each others opposing feelings and didn't go at it hammer and tong. I'm so proud of us!!!!

I think we're doing it right. We've learned that each of us has a strong side that has different faces in different situations, and each of us has a sensitive side with all it's expressions. Each facet can trigger the other.

Being strong sometimes shows as stubborness.

Being sensitive sometimes shows as anger.

What I think we've learned about each other, and hopefully we could apply in life, is how to stay connected to the underlying person, regardless of what's said on the surface. One of us may be reacting in fear, worry, best interests and I think we've come to understand that neither of us are "bad people".

I will admit I don't always take my own advice in how to manage conflict, but I think we're learning in practice. I've come to understand that under all statements given, there is a kind, caring, feeling, loving Tomi that gets hurt, tries to help, cares about everyone and even feels alone sometimes.

The same can probably be said for all of us.
