I had already logged out this am when I saw this thread again... wanted to share...

the time BEFORE we find out news we are waiting for can be a valuable time. I mean, AFTER we hear any "news" it's too late to center on the before aspects, right? Taking time to think about where we are right now, before, and all the possible answers for the after.. and wondering what would change... follow me here please.... .... you know???

There will never be another time EXACTLY like "this" again. What do I want to do with this time BEFORE..??? What might change about me, and my attitudes, my hopes, goals... AFTER I receive the news for which I'm waiting? What about me BEFORE I hear... do I wish to cherish and fully experience..embrace... BEFORE I do this "change" ???

Regardless of the AFTER answer... good , bad, indifferent, or inconclusive... you will never have the "BEFORE" like it is right now!

Thanks Sky....that's a wonderful way to look at the "now". So far, I've been spending it running around trying to get ready for our usual Christmas celebration. It's hard, but I want to have it this time, just as like we always have.

Since hubby is retired he is taking an active role in shopping and other preparations and yesterday stated that he is glad to be able to participate this year! I'm glad to have his help.

Today I worked on putting up my Christmas decorations (indoors) I have a huge collection of Santa Clauses as well as some other stuff so I feel like I accomplished something while I continued my "what if's" kind of thinking.

I haven't heard anything more about the little brown jug. lol Maybe they did the test. Waiting

I don't know, maybe it's because I'm a Capricorn, but I think I have a fairly good relationship with the passage of time. I know that, no matter what I'm waiting for, nothing I do is going to make time move any faster. A minute is still a minute, an hour is still an hour, a day, a month, a year, is still a day, a month, a year, and that time will pass the same when I'm waiting for something as for when I'm not waiting for something.

Yes, it is better when I have stuff to do, but I always have stuff to do. Work, cleaning, now there's school stuff, I have had this lifelong distraction - for the past 20 years I've been writing about herbs. I grab an herb book & a pad of paper & a pen, & start taking notes. I've got so many unread herb books on my shelves... I read really fast, but if I'm taking notes on something, it slows me down. A book that may only take me a couple of days to read can stretch out to a month if I'm taking notes & doing sketches. I color a lot, too, and do jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles.

While I'm waiting for something, I never feel like I'm 'wasting' time - I'm learning new things, I'm being creative in some small form, I'm exercising my brain. And sometimes, when I don't have anything to do while I'm waiting, I can just stand there & feel like, "Wow! This is great! I have absolutely nothing to do except stand here, relax & breathe deeply!" - and I'm annoying the impatient people in line behind me as a bonus. Waiting

Wish you could see my mantle today with all my Santas on it. There's greenery with snow all around the bases of them. I'm proud of how it looks and it took my mind off my worries while I was being creative.

Today We're making a trip to Walmart. I don't sit around all the time worrying but it's always there in the back of my mind ready to bother me at any idle moment. ugh!

Sleeps, my appointment is Monday. Waiting for it is the pits but I'm also fearing what I find out so don't want the day to come. Now that sure is a conflict of emotions!
