I'm very sorry for your loss, Jan. It's got to be even harder when you see it coming and the person won't listen. Actually, that was almost me......my best friend insisted on taking me to the ER and literally saved my life by doing so.
I hope you are able to take care of yourself throughout this time and be kind to yourself -- stress just makes it worse. Hugs, Candy |

That is so very sad, he must of been a good hearted person (no pun intended) to sacrifice his time and labor to help care for his mom, but sadly, neglected himself.
I can relate to that need he felt he had to care for his mom, so many of us caregivers, give so much to others while our health fails. Taking care of many of our aging parent's needs while we are middle aged, is a strain. May your friend rest in peace, and may his soul find comfort. Roe ((((((((((((( January ))))))))))))

Dear Friends,
Thank you all for posting to me. It means so much to me. Richard and I drove each other nuts sometimes, but he meant well and we stuck together as friends should. His sister finally made it here tonight and his Mom has been told. Bless her, I know she'll forget and keep asking where he is. She won't understand. My Dr told me today that I'm too ill to go to the wake and the funeral. I was sick last week and he said it will be too much for me. I have decided that after everything is over and Richard's family goes back home, our little band of friends is going to get together and have a pizza and pop party to celebrate Richard's life. He would really like that. Thank you for your support and for reminding me that I tried and that I shouldn't feel guilty. You are all so wonderful. Love and hugs, Jan
