Can you be more specific? Is there a forum here that relates to what you need?

hmmm.....ok..well, it has to do with whats 'best' for them. Its a question I guess for anyone who knows a bit about child psych maybe, or a teacher who knows about young children too, I am just afraid a bit to say it right here, sorry, but I would be gratefull to have someone to ask and discuss the matter with!! Thanks!!

I'm new here. I was interested to read this post and I'd also like to thank you, Mystery. I am struggling with something I think is similar to Misfitsamongmisfits. I have my own set of challenges and am having a hard time trying to decide what to do about my child's.

It sounds like the issues are complex issues and might require more of an intense discussion than one can be done on-line. You might try talking to a professional or something for a few sessions just to work out what ever the issue is. I have heard that sometimes a person's Employee Assistance program can provide a few free sessions. You might could find some other way to get a professional to talk to for a short period of time.
Otherwise, if I have misunderstood the previous postings. You might could talk to your kids' teachers, couches, pastor or some other trusted friend.

ok, Im really having a hard time with this question, and all the wonderful support and help you have all allready given, I thank you for that, from the bottom of my heart!!!

I guess the best way to do this is to get it out(I have HUGE trust issues) ....so please beer with me, Im gonna say what I feel comfortable with and hope someone can help:

3years ago I lost custody of my 3 children(PTSD/DID diagnosis for me) the courts felt I would not be healthy ennough to care for them(long story about that). Since this time, my daughter had an open adoption and I have legal visitation every six months. I also have legal visitation with my boys at same time, the boys are currently in a foster home, being well cared for, and we sneek visits, (keep that hush hush).

My question for advice, ideas, whatever is:How do I know Im not doing more psychological harm to my daughter who is 9 by having her see me. She gets to see her real brothers at that time too, is this healthy thing for my children or should I think about making some changes.

(I am sorry for the long post, Im real scrared right now sharing this, but Im hoping on the safety of this place, thanks all for your time, Godd Bless-Jodi)

Dear Misfit,

I do not think that you are (or will be) doing any harm to your daughter..... for she needs to know that her mother still wants and loves her even if you are suffering from mental illness right now.
Hang in there and never give up on your kids or they will give up on their self's one day.... for they will feel as though no one cared for them - so why should they care?

LoVe,
Rhapsody -
