Light and dark is having a very tough time at the moment. If anyone who knows her can send her messages of extra support, encouragement, friendship and reasons to keep on trying right now she really needs it

Hi, this is Laura and I just wanted to say I felt so loved by you guys when I came on here to see what had been written. Sometimes (often)I wonder if any of you really care, like I do in 3D. I start to think I must be worthless and all of you are just nice enough to tolerate me being here. I've been in the hospital and was released just before supper. It's nice to be out but some how scary. Still being in hospital, although safe, is not something I am fond of doing. I just wanted to send out a hug to everyone, and an especially big one to everyone from this thread. I'll try to post more about my experience, but I'm sure you guys know I spend most of my time in chat.

Thanks to everyone for their welcome backs and hugs. It's such a close knit community and yet at the same time so open and inviting. I was in the hospital because I had done something self-destructive, I'd attempted suicide. I wish I could say that I was joyfully eager to resume my life now, but life is never that clear cut for me (my mom said I must have decided to take the AP version of life, and if so can I switch streams now?) I believe that it is a good thing I survived, but now I have to reassemble my life. My life wasn't all together before I had this breakdown, but it's even less together now. I can tell all of you the things I should be doing to put my life back together. I can talk about sleep schedules and nutrition. I can talk about taking my meds as directed and using therapy to it's fullest extent. I can talk about building a support network. I rarely manage to put words into actions, and when I do actions don't change to habit (or at least they haven't yet.) I doubt my ability to avoid falling apart again. I don't believe I need to be in the hospital though. I just am venting here I guess about how hard it is to change thoughts into actions.

Laura,
It's so good to know that you are still with us. Coming back from a breakdown like that isn't easy...I know how hard it is to maintain the momentum you need to make the changes you have to make, I'm really bad at it, too! It's just long road, that's all there is to say. But we're here for you in the ways that we can be, in giving you love, support and encouragement.
