Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out with this one; I was wondering if we have any dream interpretation savvy's around. What I need help with, is if anyone has read or owns, a really good dream interpretation book that they can think of, if you could share what it was, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help with this, also, please feel free to just leave a thought or two about dreaming, maybe share a dream, or anything, thanks all~~

Hi Jodi,

There a lot of online sites you can browse.

Dreams

I have read that your dreams are a representation of yourself, and someone once told me to insert "I" in place of the things you see in your dreams.

"In my dream the sky was the deepest blue I'd ever seen it became stormy and dark quite suddenly."

Would be "I was the deepest blue I'd ever seen and I became stormy and dark quite suddenly."

I have NO IDEA if this is true, but I have used it before and it made sense at the time. Calling all Dreamers!!

Hi there

I do some dream interpretation. I am self taught though so I can try and help, but it might be off. lol

I think alot of dreams are our minds way of trying to releive us of something or work something out, so when trying to interpret your dreams remember to factor in everything thats going on and has been going on in your life around that time.

Interpretations are incredibly personal in the sense that what is for one, might not nessessarily be for the other.

I can try and help though if you would like.

I wonder what my mind is trying to relieve me of .... I suffer from terrible nightmares and night terrors. They are so vivid and evil and gory ... and the worst thing is, despite the way they make me feel, I often can't remember them the next day, just the lingering fear remains.

I too...suffer from nightmares...but I remember them vividly...and they are real life episodes of a time I wish I could forget...sleep and I are strangers and I hate the drugs that make me sleep because I can't wake up and the dream goes on replaying over and over...

I know that dreams are usually mostly about symbols...certain things represent other things in your life. The worst things in a dream can actually be something rather positive, too. I know, very strange.

Sometimes, though, we do have awful dreams about our pasts. Our mind seems to replay certain things over and over.

Thanks so much for your offer, I do appreciate it. I might take you up on that, if nothing else it might be fun!

"I think alot of dreams are our minds way of trying to releive us of something or work something out..."

I have to agree with you thier, I think it has a lot to do with our minds trying to give us solutions, answers, sometimes our fears get the best of us, and we get those terrible nightmares, but its all very interesting.

Thanks again

I have heard many people say they cant remember thier dreams, I know that thier are ways out thier to help you remember if you want to keep a journal or something, and thier must be techniques on how to 'master' the nightmares, if anyone knows any, please post them, thanks again!!

Mystry,

What your describing, almost sounds like flashbacks invading your sleep, and Im sorry for that, it must be very difficult to have them play over and over again. I too remember my nightmares, wish I didnt, they play in my head sometimes during the day, and I find myself feeling that fear all day sometimes. I hope your dreams become more pleasant as time goes on!!

Here's the link to a poem I posted about my nightmares.

Recurring Nightmare

I think it's obvious I was feeling trapped. I'm beginning to have those dreams again. Every so often, though, I find the door and walk out. Calling all Dreamers!!

My T told me that buildings or any means of transportation are a symbol of your life. Also, the other people in your dreams could very well be symbols of other parts of yourself. Just like the example you've gotten here. If the sky turns dark and stormy, it's probably something inside YOU.

There was something I read that gave a way to change the outcome of your dreams. For me, what works, is to change what's happening in my life. I know now that I have "a way out" if I choose to take it. Calling all Dreamers!!
