I read, tell my dog how wonderful he is, watch the birds, and get on PC. I'm content.

Never been on disability but have had extended periods of not working or going to school and basically bumming off my parents.

Anyway, I always kept a really tight schedule as best I could. I'd try to spend at least an hour studying a certain subject I was interested in--a language, for example. I do 60-90 minutes of exercise every day (that includes warmup and cool down). An hour of leisurely reading. 20-30 minutes of cleaning (in addition to the things that need to be done every day). I did a lot of crafting hobbies and spent more time cooking home-made meals. I went out with friends as often as I could (not that often though). I attempted to volunteer... it's a great thing to do but my social anxiety was too severe at the time... I really tried to limit my internet/TV to something reasonable, and that's much easier to do when you are busy!

Of course, all of this was worked around my many, many, many visits with my therapist or pdoc or whatever.

Since I actually have disabilities things I do are hard and take a long time and also I rest a lot. I have the opposite problem, I don't have enough time despite "being off all day long".

Mostly I read books, essays, reports, studies, etc. about subjects that interest me, or I write articles for the a national publication. Although I do less of it now, I do like to challenge the computer at chess, and in the summer I like do do insect photography.

Every day I care for my invertebrates too.

Overall the days can be kind of dull. I look forward to working in a few months.

Wait and worry about whether or not I will be able to get on SSI, experiance unpleasant symptoms and do my best to get on with my currently stagnant life.

So yeah not quite on disability yet, not sure if I will be but I do have conditions that limit my abilities so theres no real reason I should be denied.

I usually do the gym daily(except weekends) , when i'm not at the gym i'm cleaning stuff up, sometimes i'll go for a walk,i might talk on the phone for a lil bit, read a book, do some writing in my notebooks, and listen to music. I try to read lots of stuff on the internet and learn some cool new things as well as trying to add words to my vocabulary. I can't wait to get into school

For a long time (years), I was not functioning and could barely leave the house, even to go to the store or doc appts. I slept, tried to read, watched nature/weather go by, perhaps watched tv, was on the computer, or played with my dogs. With better meds now and therapy, I have been able to go back to school, still attend counseling and doc appointments (but regularly now), play/go out with the dogs, on the computer still, reading more with attention, but now can interact with friends (but still from a distance). I hope to do more with them in time and be able to return to work this year.

I have been on disability since July of last year and am still adjusting. I have taken some courses to improve my MS Office skills. I have done temp work. (Be sure to report this promptly to your local social security office.) I spend too much time online. I have kept up my MD and therapist appointments. (Needed to stay on SSDI.) I may go back to school. I know that I am suffering from many things both mental and physical. I would like to work again but don't know if I am up to it. Wherever I go, people are rude and treat me badly.

I dream of doing everything I've always wanted to do. Being a somewhat-famous actress (I'm not talking of stardom; if I could have that, of course I'd want it, but I'd like to be an actress that most people have heard of), writing successful books, drawing and painting (including digital painting), losing weight, reading my unbelievable number of books and magazines that I never get to (well, not never...I read now and then), wishing for more, wishing I had more money, wanting to shop, shopping on low occasions when I do have a little money to spare, wishing my house was clean (because of my OCD, which makes cleaning a very difficult and stressful chore, I can't clean regularly and everywhere, plus I'd like it clean so I could invite people over, and most of all, so I could have a couple of dogs), and other things like that.

I was going to college, but I'm dropping out of this semester, in hopes I can pay off my financial aid that I lose by next fall, so I can go then. Feeling pretty dismal about my future, but still have hope.

I can understand how some people can be bored on disability, but I think it has to do with how your own mind works. Of course, feeling really lousy, all I want is rest or just hibernate, but when I'm better my mind always has something for me. I also use the computer a lot, without it maybe I would get bored watching TV and reading books I don't know.

Also I appreciate my cats. Even when they are just there there is a sense of something going on. (And then you get extra work scooping litter boxes!)

I still wish I was healthy. If I worked all day long I would still have days off. When I was like totally free. Chores done. With illness you are never FREE, you never have holiday or weekend away from your stuff....

That is what healthy people don't get when they think we have it so good. I even had a care worker telling me my life was an eternal holiday...

I like to go to antique stores and find old radios. I have 7 radios so far.
I went to the antique store yesterday, and found one I want to get.
I will probably get it in a couple of days. I prefer the old wooden radios, but this one I want is bakelite. Bakelite is a really hard plastic.

I also go shopping with my mom a lot. I'm very paranoid when there are a lot of people in the stores, so I go outside and smoke while she shops.
I also like to read the Greek Tragedy's.Specifically Homer. I also like to read stuff on my Kindle.

I got my disability on my first try but I've heard that I am the exception to the rule most are denied first time around. If I may ask what exactly is your disability ? You seem so active for someone who can no longer work ?
If I were able to do half of what you say your doing I'd still be working because struggling each month financially stinks.

Not working anymore and being on disability is very depressing for me. I would love to work but I can't. With my disability I've also lost a great deal of the quality of my life.

Most days I fill in my time with reading, knitting, a little gardening weather permitting, writing, and a little bit too much time making comments about reality shows. One of the reasons I came here is because what I was doing was becoming unhealthy and toxic to me.

I'm hoping I've found a community of people here who I can have common interests and who are seeking healthy ways of living and coping with life. Hence my username. LOL

I'm looking for spiritually uplifting people instead of the viciousness of the blogs I was addicted to.

Well initially I healed, rested, and then I tried returning back to society by taking classes, volunteering, and now I work full-time but have realized it's too much for me and am seeking part-time employment.

I'm a very driven person, even my family thinks so. I have shizoaffective disorder and thanks to meds I can basically function as a normal person, but finances always concern me greatly.

Go to doctor appointments, watch my girls after school and prepare meals, clean my apartment & my bf's apartment (he's disabled as well), various tasks that pop up. I'm actually pretty busy!

I volunteer as a director of a charity , am a board member of another charity, foster house bunnies, and have just passed my study to become an independent support broker, so do not have much spare time, but that which I do have is spent on bed rest, photographing wild life or helping others.
