I would freak if i had to part with them, i have several months worth of meds both old and current and if i did throw them i would find some more to hord by the way its meds in general any types of meds .

I have no clue why i do it ,i dont actually say to myself hey im going to keep all these meds together its more like second nature and i dont realize i am doing it or have done it till couple days later .

i m scared to tell my team and wondering how they would react and do , because im not actually at will trying to do it honestly i swear on GOD its subconsciously i do it .

maybe its my alter(s) doing it without knowing being aware or maybe deep down im prepping for an od i have no clue at all it usally happens when im so far down in the dumps and out of control.
What can i do if its so deeply rooted in me ?

Ive started doing it at age 15 now that i look back.

I have no idea what your team would do. I'm wondering, though, if any of the meds you are hoarding could be dangerous in large doses. Have you mentioned this issue to your doctor? Or do you think an alter you might not have access to might be doing it?

That is a valid point my alters have been trying to help but ive been pushing them away ,so could be one of them is doing to spite me or something or get my attention in that form or on the other hand i coud be preparing for an od subconsciously .

i only have one friend who knows and in the past i mentioned to my team briefly but didn't go into detail,im sure they would want me to have them not near me since they might think im going to one day use them to kill myself from an od or that im impulsive personality so they might think i will impulsively take some or most of them on a whim without thinking when my cns is over worked .

The meds in part are prescription meds such as muscle relaxant in high doses or pain meds like 500 mg dosage or mental health meds like ssri or anti anxiety meds, and the rest somewhat dangerous in od like benedrly .

I would advise you to give your extra meds to your nurse or pharmacy to dispose of properly.

I am frequently changing and adding new medications, which can quickly make a supply of OD meds. I usually hold onto these meds, to hold onto that option honestly. A couple of weeks ago, I decided that it would be best to give them to my nurse instead. She filled my weekly med case and was about to leave & I asked if she would take the meds for me. Sure ~ all done. Nice and easy!

Hoarding medicine is a bad idea. Why do you think you do it? If you have been doing since you were 15 then you must be doing it for a reason. I used to hoard so I could have control. Is that why you do it.

Now I have to get my meds each week from the chemist.

How about telling your team by giving them your stash. You need to talk to some-one if you are feeling that bad.
Thanks for this!

Have you considered the fact that you might have OCD?

When I receive things in the same quantity every now and then, I like to take a few out and not use it in case the receiving stops or if i feel bad and know that i can kill myself even though I know I won't..

I always thought of keeping a bottle of methanol under my bed just so I know that I can.. Or prepare a rope..

I do the same with all old meds as I do with my pantry... out of date... throw it away...
