My little brother's next surgery is friday, the day before his birthday.
 But he's getting a wonderful birthday present of getting rid of his bag. He's execited about it. His only concern is he has a lot of scare tissue from his past surgeries. If they have to go through the scare tissue the surgery will take longer. But he's been eating a lot of ice cream trying to gain some weight. Open his frig and there were 6 different kinds of ice cream. He say's he's making up for all the years he wasn't able to eat it. That's my boy.  Lisa

Maple walnut is especially my favorite so make sure he eats tons for me. Tell him good luck and I know it will go well.

Nervous, I can't handle bring there. I have to keep busy. He called me wed. just to bug me like little brothers do. He's doing well right now. Just in the back of my head there's that horrible fear, "what if the cancer comes back", "what if he ends up losing his stomach as well"?? Just want to cry if I could. His birthday is tomorrow. He'll be 27. I can't believe my baby will be 27. Remember when I used to walk home from school and stop by his daycare to pick him up. Big responsiblity for an 8yr old mama. I love him so much there aren't any words to say how much.

I hope all goes well and he enjoys all his ice creams. I recommend the Banana Split by the bunny people ice cream company.....forget their name. That's addictive stuff..lol

I've just got finished talking with my brother's wife. She said that she hasn't gotten to see him yet, but he did well with the surgery. Said that because of all the scare tissue that they had to end up going through another way. Because of that his recovery is going to take longer. She said that they had to repair another part of his bowel. But they believe that he will do well. So fingers crossed for no complications.
