This is an amazing book. I'm also playing one of the author's audiobooks. It's about letting go of a mind-based sense of self due to past events and future worries. In other words, stop perseverating on the past and worrying about what may or may not happen in the future, and live Now, in the present.

I think anyone who truly wants to change how they see themself and learn to shut off constant negative mind chatter should check this author's works out.

I've just started reading the book, so I can't give a more in-depth description.

No problemo! I went to Goodwill Books looking for something on Daoism, which is based on the Now, and this is what I found. It's similar. Our library system alone has 15 of his books and audiobooks, and some of them are accessible over the Web for a one-week loan period.

The gist of it that I'm getting so far is that you aren't your past experiences, you just are, and that's all you need to be. You aren't your accomplishments or failures. It teaches you how to stop your non-productive thoughts in their tracks and get back to the present.

He says the hardest part is letting go of those thoughts, because the majority of people obtain their sense of self from all the labels that have been put on them over their lifetimes. If they let go of those, who will they be?

So far it's been a really interesting book. Oh, and it's a really easy read because it's in question and answer format.
