Etch-A-Sketch is a tablet about 8x10 inches or so...it's bright red and has a gray screen on the front with two white knobs underneath. The knobs control a stylus of some kind, one makes it go vertically, the other horizontally, both together diagonally. You draw little line drawings on the screen in this way. When you're done, you shake it up and down to erase the drawing. It's a nearly perfect toy...quiet, non-destructive (unless you hit your sister with it
 ) and will keep a kid occupied for hours.DJ

What happen to pen and paper? In my days (lol) life wasn't so complicated! I would draw on the walls with my mom's lipstick to keep me busy... I think my bum still hurts, lol!

Well, despite my best intentions this little one here is drawing on walls with marker. Glad things like that don't bother me. Erector sets? Wow, I gave an antique set to a boy who is only eight but has his own furntiture refinishing business. Amazing little guy.
